“Comfortable hotel near Nyhavn”
The Strand Hotel is very well located, along the main canal, two blocks from beautiful Nyhavn, the awesome National Library's modern addition and the fun pedestrian streets. The concierge service was very friendly all the time, the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty, and the room was comfortable even though it was a bit small if you have two or more large suitcases. It's hard to find a problem, really -I did not.

The room was small and looked directly into the office building next door, but who spends time in their room. I was a female traveling alone, always felt safe, front desk helpful, free internet access in room and lobby on their computer. Hotel is located on the waterway within easy walking distance of everything.
“Would definitely stay again”
Solo traveller - had a great experience. Walked from the metro station, very convenient, and location is excellent for Nyhavn, all the central tourist spots. I had a top floor single room with small balcony and had a sandwich and a beer one night sitting there, rather than going out. Room was cozy but comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant reservations, information. Yes, the front of the street is under construction, but they are building a boardwalk which should make the location even nicer. The breakfast was very good.

This recently renovated hotel is in a great location on the waterfront in the old part of Copenhagen. Very satisfied with quality of the room and the friendly staff.

The only problem was with the second room that we got when we returned to Copenhagen...the shower holder was broken so you could not put the spray up there...otherwise...great hotel...EP

The breakfast was great. The location was in a great place. We were all around happy with the hotel. We were unable to print the boarding passes.

“Just what we needed!”
The Copenhagen Strand is a delightful hotel. The location is great, the staff were fantastic. My husband's bag never made it to Copenhagan. The staff called the airport a number of times a day to try and locate it, we still don't have it. The rooms are on the small side, but we figured that we were to sleep, the bathroom was large and well appointed, the radiant heat floors were great. The included breakfast was very good, very Danish. We would saty there again.
“Great hotel for price and location!”
The Copenhagen Strand provided a great hotel stay, good value for price paid for hotel room, and fantastic location. The hotel is within 4 block of both Hyhavn restaurants/bars and Kongens Nytorv Metro Station (metro to Copenhagen Int'l Airport) and about 8 blocks from Amalienborg Palace. The hotels open up to the harbor. The room was clean and a reasonable size (comparable to other 3-star European hotels) and had a large sized bathroom (comparable to 3-star American hotels). The breakfast (included) was great with many hot and cold items from which to choose. The lobby had 3 comfortable sitting areas and the friendly-staffed front desk included a reasonably priced bar that was open throughout the day. The looby also had free hi-speed wi-fi (much appreciated). Our room included an hour-long canal/harbor boat tour for a small surcharge. It was the highlight of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning to Copenhagen.
