We loved our 3night stay at Milkwood Lodge. Our check in was fast and friendly. The pool, bbq and fire pit area was small but inviting. Each pole house was very private with balcony and outside furniture, which was a pleasant place to sit in the morning, planning the day's activities. The cabin had space and everything we needed. King size bed, quality linen and toiletries. A very / workable kitchenette snd small lounge/dining area. Above all, the owners and staff were very helpful. As we're travelling for a while, the use of a washing machine and line was useful to deal with the mundane side of things. We really enjoyed our short trip to Cooktown. We'd travelled up via the Bloomfield Track from Cape Trib, stopping by at The Lions Den and Black Mountain on the way. The James Cook Museum, Monument, Esplanade, Grassy Hill Loookout, Botanic Gardens, Finch Bay, Archer Point and Lighthouse, Keatings Lagoon, fishing off the old bridge st Annan River. Wow, what a blast. What's not to like!!
