It's opposite to train stain station, and 15 minutes from the ferry.breakfast all good, coffee tasty. Price wise you get exactly what paid for.Room small, beds comfy, pillows comfy. Only downside was the smell from bathroom, but i think it's all to do with sewerage problems overall in area. Dorr closed - problem solved👍 Would comeback. Workers great.

Great value and good rooms
Very well situated for San Giovanni Station. Very good and clean room and excellent value. The only downside was the traffic but that is unavoidable given the convenient location. Definitely recommend for a brief stopover, but less so for a longer stay

This property is very well situated if you are traveling by train. It is 5 minutes walk to your hotel from the train station. At the same time you are at the center of all activities. 10 to 15 minutes walk to Como lake, coffee, restaurants, the Beauty ty of the city. I loved it!. This is said, I have to say 3 negative things: only Italian Chanel TV which I think is bad. If you do not speak Italian you can’t watch the news. This property must make an effort to add international channels at least CNN and TV5. The second negative thing is there is only one side to turn off the light when you are in bed which is the other side of the toilet (with only one side of a place to put your stuff). The phone is not working. If there is an emergency and you are locked in your room because everything is electronic, you are stuck! Besides that this property is excellent for a long weekend. Cheers

Lovely stay
Located quite near the bus/railway station, it is a nice house with very modern facilities. Elevator, mini-bar in the room, breakfast with fruits, coffee selection etc. very friendly staff.

Disappointing and misleading description
Disappointing - worst hotel of a 2 week trip in Italy. Man who checked us in (owner or manager?) Was rude and unhelpful. Hotel says its pet friendly but dogs not allowed in the breakfast room (which is also the entrance). He also refused to wear a mask (although this is legally obliged in italy). 1 lady working in the evening was friendly but could not make up for the man's behaviour. Breakfast did not look great, the room was small and the bed uncomfortable. "Free parking" was also misleading as this is only if you can find a space on a very small, narrow road (you won't). So we had to pay 18 EUR for private parking. Only plus side is it was walking distance to the lake and was cheaper than other Como options. After 2 weeks of fantastic hotels and service in other cities, we couldn't wait to check out.

Dear Ms Bullen, when you make a review you must be correct in putting the name and since you have not done it, we do it, already upon your arrival you realized that you made a mistake in making the reservation because you wanted two single beds and instead you booked a room with a double bed and you took it with us because unfortunately we could not change rooms with the hotel full. As for the person of our staff that you say was without a mask, we would like to point out that he was behind a plexigass and not in contact with the public, for the dog instead it is in the hotel rules that he cannot stay in the breakfast room, and the rules they are also to be respected out of respect for other guests, but we have the impression that you were not in the mood to travel.

Lake Como hotel: clean and friendly!

Great breakfast, a convenient one night stop over. We were kept awake by a crying baby in a nearby room and people moving around in the hallway - so walls are quite thin. Totally would stay again if arriving late/leaving early. Room was clean and bathroom updated and nice.

Very happy family stay for 2 nights
We stayed two nights in this hotel. Can’t fault the location, we found the hotel easily (despite reviews that made it seem difficult – just followed the arrow!) We were not expecting but grateful that the hotel had set up a little cot bed for our 4 year old daughter – the semi double bed was definately big enough for 2 adults. The staff were helpful and very grateful they heated up her dinner on a cheeky request on first night. We also enjoyed Breakfast, the free wifi (good connection) a good supermarket not far away as well as the lake side and children’s playground. Would be very happy to stay again!

A delightful place to stay in Como...
The hotel is, first of all, close to the train station (5 minute walk with luggage), which made it very easy to get to. Service is prompt, cheerful and courteous. It is a fast walk to the town center and to the lake. The room was comfortable, if a little close, but the bathroom (especially the shower) were plenty big enough. WIFI worked and stayed working. It was a great find!

Worth considering
“Do the good points outweigh the not so good ?” Reviewed June 29, 2012 NEW via mobile Previous reviewers have mentioned all the pluses for this B&B. Close to the station and the town/lake, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable rates and very good breakfast. They have also warned of the rooms on the main Rd side which are so noisy sleep is impossible. The rooms are small and dated, our 2nd room after moving was a twin with very small beds at opposite ends of the room. Air conditioners are ineffective and the electrics in need of overhaul. This is worth considering but take into account all the reviews.

Francesco es muy amable, muchas gracias. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, es muy limpio y el desayuno es muy bueno. La única observación que tengo es que a las paredes de la habitación les falta pintura y tanto las toallas, como la habitación huelen a cigarrillo.

Budget Option with Good Location
The price and location of the hotel were excellent. We spent our time exploring the surrounding areas, so this was an economical place to stay. Our check-in was off to a bad start. The air conditioner, minibar, and safe didn’t work. The manager was upset with us, even though the problem turned out to be a blown fuse, not our incompetence. The staff was friendly after that incident. The breakfast was very simple. It leaned towards sweets with only a few savory choices. It got the job done. The site listed that the room had soundproofing. Yes, the street windows were lightly proofed, but the hotel door wasn’t. Every sound from the corridor was heard loud and clear. At some point in the late evening someone started vacuuming, cleaning, and even talking loudly. The bathroom probably has a moisture problem. The only way to move air was to keep the windows open, but the street noise is too much. The bathroom itself didn't have air vents, and there is black mold on the silicone sealants. A tile in the shower wall had also bulged out badly. Who knows what’s behind it? I hope this review isn’t too negative. We weren’t the target audience and younger folks probably don't have any problems staying there. I think the price and location will play the biggest factor, if you decided to stay there. We thank the staff for taking care of us for this vacation. Next time will probably just increase our budget, and accept that we are indeed growing old who require certain travel luxuries.
