"Very nice hotel next to the Roman Forum."
The hotel is located very close to the Roman Forum, Colosseum and a few steps from the Mouth of Truth. We enjoyed and appreciated the inclusive breakfast. The servers were extremely friendly and help make fresh late and cappucinos for us, upon request. Our room looked out to the ruins so that was a nice treat. We are a family of 4 and were quite comfortable here.

"Perfect for us, excellent location"
Family, the two room suite worked out perfectly. Lots of space. Hotel was clean and well appointed, but not the most modern. Front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. Nice breakfast on roof terrace every morning. Location is excellent, easy walking distance to most major sights, but also close enough to the train station to grab the metro to go to Vatican, etc. A word about the water pressure - EXCELLENT. So many European hotels have sad hand held showers that just dribble water at you, but at the Borromeo we could not even use the water at full pressure it was so strong.

"Great Place!"
Hotel Ivanhoe proved to be a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful, always willing to help and answer questions and the location was an easy walk to the Roman ruins. The breakfasts were excellent which included eggs, as well as a healthy cereal. The location was also relatively quiet. I strongly recommend this hotel and I would definitely return.

"Tirreno Hotel"
Room was ok. It was a bit dark in the room because the window was on it's own down a narrow hallway, separated from the room. Some people might like that feature because it's completely dark for sleeping and absolutely noiseless.

"Good Tourist Hotel - Convenient Location"
This is a good hotel in a good location. Handy for the Railway station and reasonably near the attractions. Only critisism of the hotel is that there were not coffee making facilities in the room. Other than that 10/10

"9 hours late"
Because of a combination of errors by the airlines, we arrived at 7 pm instead of 10 am. I was afraid that the hotel would have given our room away. Instead, they had upgraded us to a junior suite. The staff was supportive and friendly. The in-house resturant was fantastic. One thing that the description did not include is that there is a great street with quaint cafes behind the hotel. The food is great. A friend had told me that you should not hesitate to dine in the small cafe on small streets in Rome. They are reasonable priced and the food is made with pride.

"Very close to Colosseum"
Very clean place and a good location. When we arrived the room was not set up with the requested twin beds and the lady that was there to greet us said there was nothing that could be done about it and we would have to wait until tomorrow. We asked for the bedding and would change it ourselves but again told to wait. Breakfast was limited. After breakfast no one on site. Would have been nice to have access to a phone and a list of numbers such as taxi. We had to go to the hotel next door to have a cab called and they got very upset with us. Saying that they were always getting B&B guests asking for luggage storage, to use the bathroom and call cabs. We did not realize that there would be no one one site. It took 2 days to get an answer from the owners about leaving our luggage for a couple of hours after checkout. They were very agreeable but it would have been nice to get an answer sooner. The girl that served breakfast was very pleasant but spoke no English and we could not ask her.

The heart of Ancient Rome, all roads led to the Forum. Visitors flock here to walk the streets where Julius Caesar once trod when this was the centre of commercial, political and judicial life. Nearby, the Colosseum, described by Lord Byron as 'the gladiators' bloody circus', is the world's most famous amphitheatre and the most impressive of all Rome's buildings and ruins.
