The property is listed as a 4-star spa and resort hotel - this is what both images and descriptions list on Expedia and the hotel, website. Upon arriving, there is proper pull-up area for checking and unloading luggage. As it was listed as a spa and resort getaway hotel we were expecting a calm and tranquil experience. Instead it caters more towards families with children. For example, the pool has a water slide and there is a playground on the property. The room furniture was a mismatch of items that didn’t go together. The balcony was large but had no outdoor furniture - not even a chair. The shower in the one bedroom suite was no larger than 3 ft by 3 ft, and the overhead rain-shower head had no nob or way to turn it on. You could only use the handheld shower head. Also, the backside of the shower is a frosted glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom so the light from the bathroom disrupts the bedroom. This particular room had a large dining room table, however the base of the table has an unusual design which prevents you from pushing the chairs all the way in (they always stick out). There was no breakfast restaurant at the hotel and only one lunch/dinner restaurant. If you have luggage with wheels it will be difficult for you to pull them from the parking area to your room because the pavement is rocky gravel. Unfortunately, several times while coming through the lobby area we were asked (again and again) if we were there for a presentation (real estate).

The spa was great!! Our room was dated and the bathroom shower spilled water all over the floor. Beds are comfortable, and staff super friendly and accommodating.

The front desk polite but poor communication - from the start on the phone re. instructions how to get to Collingwood (she meant kindly but said to avoid the cut off (to Collingwood) and keep going straight! Of course we ended miles away from the hills in the wrong direction My phone had no battery so I couldn't use Waze - so, not a good start. Checking in, only one person on the desk, who said she needed a physical copy of my registration. She meant my driver's licence but this took ages to understand as she kept repeating it and I thought she meant my expedia booking number; there was a growing line-up of 4 couples behind us at 6:30pm which added stress to the experience. No info given re. the layout of the property. When I came back to ask, "The spa and restaurant are just down there to the left." Takes forever to get to the end of the building! Had to drive to the restaurant from our room - my mother is 94 and couldn't walk that far. The restaurant does not open on weekdays until 11:30am?! It's the only restaurant in the hotel! Very off-putting, as we needed to eat breakfast before that and didn't fancy having to have to leave the hotel to do so. There was no maid service for the two nights we were there, at a very high expensive nightly cost, with no explanation - but there was an envelope expecting a tip I presume - but for what? It would have been best to explain that we wouldn't have our rooms attended to, again, at check in.

First night we stayed in a standard kind room it was okay but upgraded to the renovated side and was amazing, clean, staff was friendly wish I could’ve stayed longer. Had a good spa experience as well The restaurant was amazing and food was great

Our second visit to living water- our room was nice. There are some upgrades that would be nice. Not a comfortable couch, no pillows. No chairs for the patio! Shower needs an overhaul/deep clean and when we arrived our dishwasher was still going so we had no glasses or dishes. Staff is friendly. Rooftop terrace is cool.

Having the 3 pools were great but the main swimming pool could have been warmer as it was freezing and resulted in my children swimming in the hottubs. the bottom of the outdoor hottub had a part on the floor that could cause an injury. The rooms were great and spacious having the balcony was an excellent addition! Having select light switches to turn on and off the lights and bathroom fan would be great too.

Absolutely loved the one bedroom king with full kitchen, and balcony! Updated, modern style. Perfect location close to Blue Mountain. Restaurant on site had beautiful views overlooking marina with superb food and service. We’re coming back and staying longer. The spa was fully booked unfortunately but we’ll book ahead next time.

Our floor looked like it was under construction, with painting going on in the hallway and tape along the floors. There was a lot of noise travelling from the room next door - through the shared room door. There was also a lot of people enjoying the outdoor hottub, which kept my children up into the night. The pool is too deep for small children, bring floatation devices if they are learning how to swim. The restaurant was very nice, though for a family of 4, it was an 85 dollar breakfast.

There was no hot water in the room, which occurred mid showering. It took three phone calls to the front desk, very unhelpful instructions, and over 1.5 hrs to finally change the room. It was a very cold day (-14C), so not sure if all the shaking from the cold water would give us pneumonia. In both rooms, the dishes and mugs, as well as the bath tubs and stoppers were filthy. The shovers were both semi broken, and not all the water would make it to the shower head. Not sure who awarded this property the stars they claim to have. I would give them 1 star, at best.
