"I would strongly reconsider staying here based on my experience.
There were multiple issues from start to finish, beginning with poor communication around key facilities. The spa was closed, which was not made clear when booking through a third-party site, and this significantly impacted the stay.
Check-in was disorganised and extremely slow, given there were so few people checking in. The room key failed multiple times and had to be reprogrammed more than once, which is not what you expect on arrival.
The room itself was uncomfortable. The lack of basic air conditioning during the warmer weather made it difficult to sleep, and the fan provided was ineffective. The hotel failed to prepare for basic weather conditions, which is a serious health and safety issue. The mattress was worn with large dips and should have been replaced quite some time ago, and there were issues with the shower fluctuating between hot and cold repeatedly, all of which point to poor maintenance and upkeep.
Service was particularly disappointing. I had to come downstairs during the night to get assistance, which is unacceptable. Breakfast and dinner service were both well below expectations and showed a lack of basic attention to guests.
Another frustrating issue, however, was how my car was handled when the hotel parked it. It was returned covered in bird droppings, with no attempt made to clean it. This has caused permanent damage to the paintwork on a car that is only two months old."
