The staff was great. Every request was answered promptly. It is in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The 3dcoast cafe a block away is great for breakfast or lunch.

The staff was super helpful and they helped to get us the microwave and coffee machine even though that was not a norm . Ambassador room restaurant food and drinks were great

We had a nice suite with adjoining rooms. Huge! Wonderful! Great set up for family with mom and dad and two college kids. Great set up!

Check in was so easy! The hotel is beautiful! The room is spacious and comfy….i could go on forever. Parking isn’t great, but I’m sure the option to valet is cool if you have it like that. One of the best hotel experiences so far would highly recommend

The property is in a nice location for downtown walking and checking out the scenery. Parking is an issue in downtown Chicago but if you drive use the valet parking it’s cheaper. The one thing I didn’t like is the bed which is low to the floor especially for a person of my height, 6’5”. The electric sockets are few and wouldn’t hold the phone plug. However, I was able to plug into the usb and it worked just fine. Great staff working at the desk and in the bar and dining area. All in all the Ambassador is a 9.5!!

Wonderful location and comfortable, stylish rooms. Very comfortable beds and nice linens except the towels which are thin. Room and lobby decor quite worn but not unpleasant. Very good value off season for the location and fading style…

Good location in the heart of Gold Coast. Peaceful and affluent area surrounded with mansions. I got a corner room with a view of the lake and city. Sunrise was beautiful. Room was big with basic quality furniture, nothing fancy. Malik and Goetz amenities. Hallways were dark and creepy and elevator was old looking. The best area is the lobby, library and Pump Room (not too many servers) Some people reported seeing ghosts in the past. I had some eerie feeling in the room while sleeping. Hotel was very clean and love that is a pet friendly property. If they modernize it a bit, it will be great. Employees were very nice. I would go back.

Wonderful old hotel with a lot of history. Rooms very nicely updated and they are clean and quiet. Restaurant only so-so for a Sunday breakfast, largely because of very light staffing. This hotel is for sale so it's not likely to get better soon. A shame because I think breakfast in what used to be the Pump Room ought to be extra special.

Very clean, incredible staff. Especially the front desk attendant. He was new, and we checked in after midnight due to our flight. The room was beautiful and clean! I loved the older charm of the door handles and details. The only con is lack of beverages- as in cold water or a soda. Other than that it was an amazing stay!!
