“Worth the stay!”
The rooms here are average, but well kept. Our room was clean and we were comfortable. The service of all staff was excellent! Everyone was gracious, friendly and helpful. The location is great!! Less than a 10 min walk to The Pier, seconds from Michigan Ave, in the heart of the shopping, and minutes from the trains. We would absolutely go back to this hotel....one thing....we didn't find out till our last night that you can go on the rooftop...do it! Very cool!
“Wonderful Boutique Hotel!”
This was a really wonderful boutique hotel, and I had a beautiful king-sized bed and a really nice room. I loved the location, and it was just very hip and the wonderful Lavatto cafe next door was an added bonus. There were some really great restaurants within a block or so of the hotel, and if you're an academic conference-goer as I am, you'll find this hotel to be very reasonable.
“Nice, clean, safe, very convenient. a little small”
Nice, clean. Very, very convenient. Near a lot of attractions in Chicago. In the heart of magnificent mile. Safe place. Nice staff. Just the room is somehow small. So is the bathroom.
“Pleasantly Surprised”
My husband and I are from Wisconsin and came to IL as a quick weekend get away for my best friend's birthday with her boyfriend. The hotel was very reasonably priced, so we weren't expecting too much. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered. It is a smaller hotel, but it was updated and very well kept. The lobby staff were so nice and attentive and suggested nice locations for us to visit. The hotel is right across the street from IKEA and the mall. There was also continental breakfast that was just ok. It wasn't anything to rave about, but it was free. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!!!
“Perfect location”
Very nice hotel, well located within walking distance of lake shore, Millenium Park, Art Institute, downtown, good restaurants, Magnificent Mile, etc. Well frequented (no loud guests at night in corridors), good service, even with an inexpensive coffee house for breakfast with a terrace. My next choice when I return to Chicago.
“Great location at a great price”
Excellent location downtown for tourist activities. The room was a little small but well maintained and very comfortable beds. Parking downtown is expensive $41.00 per day to valet or $36.00 per day to self park so factor that inot your cost.
“Can't wait to return!”
The hotel was wonderful. The staff was attentive and welcoming. The lobby smelled fantastic. Rooms were cozy, the bathrooms were small but we knew this going into it. Bed and pillows made for a very comfortable night sleep. The rooftop terrace made for a wonderful place to settle down for the evening. Excellent view of the city. The best thing about this hotel was the location. It was close to all the great restaurants and shopping. Couldn't ask for more. We will be back to stay at Inn of Chicago on our next visit.
“Great location.”
The bar tender was great, the room was nice (even next to the washer/dryer was still quite), and location was very good (everything is so close which was great).
“What we expected...and needed!”
It was the perfect location for us; within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go or wander. We lucked out with a corner suite; nice view! The only issue was the supposed valet parking that was no where to be seen. To be fair, the booth was there, just unattended. No biggie for us; the self park was right around the corner of the block. Will definitely look them up again.
