“Fantastic location, lovely helpful staff”

Couldn't be nearer the town centre, the station and the seafront. The hotel was spotlessly clean with big rooms and very comfortable - the only downside is that there are no lifts to the rooms, but the staff are more than happy to help with your bags so no big deal.

“A fantastic find on the Italian coast.”

Aside from being a little difficult to find when we first arrived in Chiavari, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ferrari. The rooms were large for European standards. Housekeeping always had our room and beds looking fantastic. The air conditioning, which was monitored by the front desk was awesome - we had to have it turned down at one point as our room was too cool. There was a great balcony with table and chairs where we enjoyed a few picnics. The bathroom was large and had a terrific shower which was welcome after a day at the beach. The hotel was within walking distance to the beach and the train station. We had a car and found the parking was okay; if we couldn't get a spot at the hotel we had about a five minute walk to a large free parking area. We all enjoyed the great breakfast - fresh fruit, cereal, croussants, yogurt, etc. The restaurant also served a wonderful lunch and dinner menu which we did enjoy as well.

“Modern, friendly and handy for beach”

Stayed 1 night in a family room, spacious enough, modern and well furnished. In town so traffic noise till around midnight. Close to beach front. friendly staff. Good breakfast. Has only a few parking places up side street. Town nice, good restaurants on promenade. Would stay again.

Friendly staff and nice modern interior. If you do not want pastries or cereal for breakfast, there is not much choice.

I have visited Chiavari many times over the last 25 years as I have family here and stayed in quite a lot of hotels and apartments in the area. This hotel is very good value, especially as it includes a buffet breakfast which is excellent by Ligurian standards - cereals, yoghurts, tea, coffee etc, fresh fruit, croissants, cakes/tarts and the usual bread rolls and biscuit things. I stayed in a family room with two of my daughters and it was newly decorated, new furniture and the bathroom was obviously also new and fully tiled with fresh, proper towels changed daily (not the tea towel style of towel you can get in some Ligurian hotels!). The room also had air conditioning (a must in Italy in the summer), french doors that opened onto a small balcony overlooking the road and electric shutters.The only down side is that there is some noise from the road but if you shut the shutters at night and with the aircon on it is negliable - a lot of hotels in Chiavari tend to back onto the busy railway line so believe me this is preferable! The hotel is in a very convenient location - 5 minutes walk from the station, beach and shops. The staff are friendly and speak good English. I will definately stay here again next time I go to Chiavari - I sound like an ad for this hotel but it is just that I was very impressed with the general standard and value for money that it offered.

Recently remodeled, rooms and bath good size and comfortable. Staff nice and helpful. A good base to visit the Italian Riviera.

“Chiavari Hotels.....chose the Ferrari”

Charming hotel, which although modern has clearly not forgotten old-world courtesy and service. My wife and I were staying for 3 nights in May as a base to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino etc. The desk staff were full of helpful information about how best to get where by train and boat....where to eat and drink etc. Only criticism is the road and train noise, but we stayed put at the front and had no problem sleeping. The other couple were moved without complaint by the hotel to a more "protected area. All round an excellent experience.

“Noise and overpriced”
