“Great hotel, amazing staff.”
This hotel is nice, very clean and in a great location (super close to the night markets / night life / good food) but the highlight is most definitely the staff. Everyone we meet from the Parasol in was amazing. Highly recommended.
“Excellent location hotel”
This hotel had a great central hotel in the old city. Located in the middle of lots of restaurants, shops, temples and was right in the heart of the Sunday Night Market. Handy to the Night Bazaar only a short walk or Tuk Tuk ride away. Staff were very accomodating earger to help you with tour bookings , washing etc. Breakfast was adequate each day perhaps a few more choices made available especially if you are staying for more than a couple of days. Handy to a post office if you need to send anything home. We would stay again if we went back to Chiang Mai.
“Great location in Chiang Mai”
This small hotel is in a great location with the night market right in the street at the front of the hotel. There was a lot of interesting street food and all seemed to be clean and well prepared. It was also relatively quiet in the room and the markets did not go late. The people running the hotel went out of their way to be helpfull and were always ready for a laugh and joke. They also were able to book day tours and all worked as planned.
“Great little boutique-style small hotel.”
Great hotel considering this very remote corner of Thailand in a very financially poor nation. In that context the hotel is great! Can't find any faults with the place. Clean and tidy, friendly if basic. Daily room service meant the room always clean! My room was internal with no windows but this made it dark and quiet for a good nights' sleep. Shower was clean but far from luxurious. But then Thailand is not Beverley Hills so these guys do a fantastic job of providing good, clean, basic accomodation with a smile! Food was quite good too but seemed expensive.
“Good Stopover”
Convenient; Comfortable; Accessable - good for a short stay
“Central location, very friendly staff.”
The staff were charming and super-friendly. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city of Chiang Mai, in close proximity to restaurants and temples. My room did not have a window; however, it was very quiet. On Sundays there is a street market right outside the hotel. This is indeed the only negative as during this market the hotel cannot be reached by car and requires a walk through the sometimes crowded market. For travellers looking for short stays in a centrally locted hotel I would recommend the Parasol Inn.
“No Elevator. Far From the night bazar”
Me and my wife stayed a few nights in Centara and then wanted to try something else. We were really disappointed. We have been places in the 4th floor with no elevator. the location is pretty far from the bazaar. their restaurant was in renovation so we had to go eat breakfast in another hotel which wasn't so good at all. the shower looks like a guesthouse's and not a hotel's. the towels we got were dirty. The only good thing was the stuff that they were really nice - but that won't cut it. bottom line - very disappointing. for the same cost we could (or 5$ more) go to the Centara.
