"A very beautiful and unique property. You definitely feel like you're in a fun experience here. It's built into the side of a cliff. We did have a teeny bit of trouble finding it as the property is behind a walls and a gate and so all of the pictures I have seen online you cannot see from the street, which could be difficult later at night, but when you get up to the blue gates you can see the name on the bell and buzz the owner and she's great about getting you in and showing you around. "Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious. Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits. "Atmospheric Chateau but in need of a little upgrading. Staff were great and very helpful. Grounds were excellent to walk round. Breakfast was quite reasonable but dinner was poor value. Definitely plan on eating out. Rooms were huge but our bathroom had only a bath with no shower which given how big it was seemed a little strange. The Chateau is dog friendly which we appreciate and overall we enjoyed our stay "

"Room was perfect. They advertise on their website & hotels.com that their are dog friendly with no restrictions. When we arrived it turned out the have a 15kg restriction which we did not meet. We also could not leave the dog alone in the property even though he is an older, well behaved (non noise making dog). We were made sign a document to agree to their conditions in order for our dog to be accepted. We obviously felt like we had little choice and this affected our plans for the evening. The...

"A lovely hotel, just a short walk from the town centre, castle etc. Restaurant food was good - had tasting menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly even in the restaurant. So many good places to eat in the town aswell. Quiet relaxing gardens. "
