WE did not like the noise from the events held at the hotel. The fact that they went on till 11.30 at night on some occasions. Also the sounds of what seemed to be someone drumming for long periods of time, at all hours of the day & night.

The place was very nice and quiet and everyone was friendly. They did their very best to help you if you needed it. I will definitely like to stay again next time I stay in Cebu

I know that left my manicure set there and their staff denies seeing it. They need to screen their help more thoroughly with background checks. The breakfast and their breakfast staff was their saving grace. First room, the aircon quit, the 2nd room they had to replace the phone and the cable box.

Maintenance problem
The key card had some problems where you insert it for electricity. Maintenance was informed but it seemed that they had no immediate answer to the problem. I think they wanted to check it but I was still staying for the week-end. I am not sure if the problem was attended to.

Not cleaned properly. There's nothing inside the fridge even water. No shower cap or hair dryer. No safety vault. Bed full of small red ants. Food choices is very limited. No signal in the room so cannot connect to wifi, no point of providing us the password. The room was not prepared when we check in so we have to wait for few minutes considering the fact that we arrive late. The room is big though but not worth the money.

Very bad experience and bad service
I used to come here often because it's cheap and in a good location, and I would forgive small mistakes but I'm done. For this stay: 1. We were placed at a room near the housekeeping room and fire exit and the staff always talked very loudly and screamed at each other. I'm not kidding. Screaming. 2. Their front desk staff were so lazy that even when I told them about my request for drinking water, they asked me to call the resto instead of doing it themselves. And I told them the resto wasn't answering my call. 3. They refused to give us an official receipt. Which I'm sure is not legal. 4. The bathtub was dirty. 5. The room smelled like smoke. 6. The aircon was cranky and old.

Terrible staff
the receptionist needs to be retrained or to be sent home. I don't know her name, but she doesn't need to be working. I have never seen such an ugly attitude. Her attitude is just sour.

It was an excellent vacation.
The hotel has a good location and services. We could walk to a lot of interesting places that were described in our written guide of the Philippines.

Even though we had the hotels.com confirmation, the hotel didn't have our reservation. After about 45 minutes of searching they finally found us an available room, but it was not the deluxe that we reserved. The next day they put us in a deluxe room, but it was not like the one in the pictures.

Not very considerate. Arrived at 2am due to early flight. Accommodated but have to check out 12nn same day. They say 2am will still count as the day yesterday check in. What a joke!

Male Front Desk Manager-On-Duty Was Arrogant When I Protested That My Room Was Not The Right BED SIZE As Reflected On My EXPEDIA Confirmation Document. I Failed To Ask Though For HIS NAME On The On-Set Because I Was Upset On His Behaviour , But Nonetheless , Said Golden Peak Hotel Top Mgmt Can TRACE Its Employee Attendance Records. I Have Checked-In 6PM Of AUG 5, 2016... Please Be Wary On The Said Hotel Staff. Thank you.

Stayed at the Golden Peak before and had a nice stay. This year our room was bigger. However, the internet wifi was very poor. The water in the shower was just barely warm. The free breakfast was cold. Not as good as my first visit. Will probably visit again if the price is right.

That free breakfast every morning was a wonderful bonus added to my time at this wonderful hotel. I wish I could stay there indefinitely.

Convenient location and good breakfast!
I was not expecting much of this hotel. You get what you paid for. Convenient location to places I needed to go. I was not expecting much of their breakfast meal and surprisingly the foods displayed daily were tasty. They tried to offer variety of meals every morning and the staff were friendly and courteous to everyone. I am thankful to the cleaning staff because my daily requests for them: to change the bed sheet, cover sheet and pillow cases daily were dutifully done. On the other hand, the aircon in RM 1115 was a bit noisy. I think cleaning and or repair will help. The shower needs repair too. Lastly, I had issue connecting to their wifi and needed to buy my own pocket wifi. Overall, I had a comfortable room and staff were great! Thank you:)

Very bad start. The Hotels.com map shows this hotel right on the main circle in the center of Cebu City. I walked over there with my bags and wandered around looking for the hotel where it is shown on the hotels.com map and the hotel is not there. It is a couple of miles away. I only booked it because I thought it was near the circle and Mango Square area where I was already staying. The hotel is nice but very hard to get a cab in that area. I had to walk to Ayala Mall to find a cab a rush hour after nearly a half hour of standing at the main intersection. The wifi service is bad - you need a new code everyday and the code is excessively complicated and device specific. If you are positioning yourself as a business hotel you need great, easy wifi and doesn't have a data counter or expiration and little slips of paper from the from desk. Very bad wifi experience and they should fire their current wifi provider and get something modern.

Second stay and will be back
I ended up booking this hotel for a second time on my visit to Cebu. After a terrible stay at another hotel, Golden Peak found me a room at 1:30am and the overall stay was great. The staff were wonderful. courteous and always willing to help. Breakfast was breakfast, drip coffee and enough food to hold me over for hours. I will be staying here again on my next visit.

The Golden Peak has a nice room a t a nice price. Maybe does need a little modern look. But all was good in the room. Comfortable and clean. The best park is the free breakfast. Very nice. However, one warning. DO NOT USE THE MARTY MART SARI SARI Store which is located on the corner located on the other side of the hotel. The have a very dishonest clerk. As i was paying for my purchase she took a large bill from me and said i never gave it to her. Otherwise , my visit to the Golden Peak was wonderful. I highly recommend it. Stay away from the Marty Store.

To be honest this hotel is sucks , I was there for two nights the staff is very nice , I think that is all in Philippines but the hotel needs a serous renovation in my room I had a lot of aunts the water heater was sucks the bath tub was dirty the bed sucks just for the price it is not worth it , the location is not to bad , but over all I wouldn't stay there next time unless I don't have any choice
