“Unforgettable experience”
Our experience was made so unforgettable from the moment we were picked up from Cebu airport less than an hour away on the major highway. On arrival, the proximity of the room enabled total privacy and relaxation while the private swimming pool always availabe was complemented by other activities such as kayaking, badminton and there for the asking. The cleanliness of the hotel and superb friendliness of the staff will see us return unreservedly anytime an opportunity arises. We have no hesitation to recommend this venue as a quiet and relaxing and unforgettable escape with the only negative encountered was saying good-bye.
“Brilliant boutique hotel in a secluded location”
I would highly recommend the fantastic Las Flores for a quiet chill-out break, or as a stop-off place for a few days. However the location and range of potential activities may be too limiting for some. If you are looking for the standard ShangriLa / jetskis / spas package, stay near the airport. The hotel is a new building with 10 large airy rooms, with pleasant furnishing, air con, cable, big clean bathrooms. There is a large lounge, a delightful terrace overlooking the sea where meals are served. The building is set in green gardens and ajoins the beach strip. There is a medium sized pool, badminton net. The beach is not for proper sunbathing (its brown sand with pebbles) but the gardens and pool are fine for that. Overall the hotel is quiet, friendly and beautiful. Service is impeccable. The owners and team of local staff are switched on and very very polite. Their chef is excellent and the menu fantastic for all meals. Las Flores is in Catmon, about 1.5-2hrs drive north of Cebu City / the airport (ring the hotel to arrange airport pickup). There is not a lot to do in the local area but we found enough to amuse ourselves with for 6 days. The highlight would be swimming in a local hot spring / waterfall. There are golf courses nearby. The local town is small but with a nice church. There is no local nightlife/restaurant scene, it is more of a rural setting - so we eat in the hotel every night.
