We loved the medieval elements of the lobby and the views out of our room overlooking the garden. The staff was wonderful - kudos to Maxim our porter and the friendly young lady at the desk - both were so helpful and welcoming. Our stay was lovely and relaxing - we especially liked walking the quiet streets at night.

Good location and really good breakfast. However, bedroom was not in a good condition (humidity and mold), some maintenance is needed. It is usually very windy and the noise of the window’s wooden shutters banging didn’t allow us to sleep well. We were planning to spend another night there on our way back from our road trip, but given the issues with the bedroom, we cancelled it as we wanted to have a good rest.

The hotel is in a great location. Parking just outside the walls with someone to shuttle our bags. It was a nice place but the front desk people were not helpful. We asked about restaurants and they seemed confused about actually recommending one. They also didn’t want to call and make a reservation for us. When asked about surrounding wineries the one desk guy actually said he had no “knowledge of anything outside the Cité.” Breakfast staff were grouchy both mornings. Bed was extremely hard with tiny flat pillows. We joked they were trying to give us a taste of Medieval times. The room was nice though with a cute patio— with hard metal chairs :).

An absolutely magical stay. The location is incredible, like something out of a fairy tale. Staff were warm, friendly, polite and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfasts were excellent. I went in winter so the old city was quiet at night, but there were still a couple of great restaurants open, and walking the citadel after dark with nobody around is a breathtaking experience. Can't wait to return!
