“HIgh quality place to stay in Carbondale”

I was very pleased with the Holiday Inn. It is about 4 years old but still seems new. They do a great job keeping the rooms, hotel, in great condition. Room was very comfortable and quiet. It was very hot (high 90's) during my stay but the room was always cool. Staff was very friendly. My only comment on the "needs improvement" side would be about the attached restaurant, Hollihans. It sorely needed a facelift and is really showing a lot of wear. Also didn't seem that clean. We had breakfast included with our room but only ate at the Hollihans one morning because the food was marginal at best. Would highly recommend the hotel.

“Carbondale Holiday”

Wish we had known in advance that no breakfast was offered as we would have booked elsewhere for the price of the stay - rooms were nice and clean and quiet from other guests though. The pool closed at 10 p.m. each day, so we weren't able to use it and wished we could have had a later adult pool time.

“Okay”

Although the hotel itself was fine and met most of our expectations, our room happened to be right above the conference/ballrooms and they had a wedding on Saturday night that had music blaring until after 11p.m. It was only slightly disturbing because luckily we weren't trying to sleep. We did comment to the staff that we ran into in the hall- she said she would comp our room $20 for the inconvienence but I never did see it on our bill- guess I should of complained about that. Overall, our stay was okay.
