“Our First Choice”
This is the first hotel we check for reservations when going to Carbondale. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the breakfast is great.
“Carbondale's best”
The staff was excellant. Helped me with my laptop and connections, directions to a recommended restaurant and took promt action with a smokey odor in our room. Continental breakfast was excellant, the staff preparers are so friendly and welcoming. They're great.
“Enjoyed our stay”
We enjoyed the free continental breakfast, especially the bagel sandwiches. The hotel met all of our expectations. After a long drive in nasty winter weather, we were happy to arrive at this hotel.

First Time Stay at this hotel and I was impressed!
“Very hospitable”
Everyone was extremely helpful. Wi-fi was very easy to access. Rooms and pool very clean. The street it was on was a little confusing. Our GPS does not have the correct address for this hotel, so we had to call to find. Don't know if it is like this on other GPS's.
“Nice place to stay in Carbondale”
The Hampton Inn in Carbondale is a nice place to stay, very convenient, just a couple of minutes to shopping and and less than 10 minutes to SIU. Staff was very friendly, very helpful. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat and driving the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. Rooms were comfortable, nice to have a thermostat. The only negative was it seemed as if the carpet had not been vacuumed (we stayed two nights), or vacuumed poorly. Everything else was wonderful and we'd stay here again.
“Best place to stay in CARBONDALE, IL”
The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was excellent, lots of comfortable furniture and tons of space, even in bathroom. Front desk staff super friendly. We arrived 2 hours early and they rushed to get us in right away. Wished all hotels were like this.
“Good Hotel - Quality for the Price”
We stayed here to visit SIU campus tour. It's near the campus, shopping (Wal-mart etc) and resturants Buffalo Wild Wings. Hotel is clean and of good quality. The only negative for us was a bus load of kids eating breakfast in the lobby - too crowded - no room for any other guests. This I'm sure is not the norm but probably just because SIU was doing an open house. I'd stay there again. Nice pool area too!
“Great stay at the Hampton Inn Carbondale”
We normally stay at another hotel in Carbondale, but they were sold out, so we decided to stay here and were very happy with it. We checked in after midnight and our room was ready and waiting for us. During our 2 night stay the front desk was helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was clean and the rooms had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
