“Had a blast!”
My fiancé and I traveled here Aug 4-9 with another couple and we were very impressed with the resort and our experience. I can't say enough about how friendly ALL of the staff was while we were there. When we walked into the hotel to check in we were immediately greeted by someone with a tray full of drinks. Even though it wasn't time to check in, they allowed us to go change and head to the pool. The breakfast buffet and 3 dinner restaraunts were delicious. The only complaint about the food was that the lunch options were slim. It was either a buffet or pizzeria (which was very yummy, but I didn't want to eat pizza every day.) The beach and ocean were beautiful and we never had a problem finding somewhere to sit. The pool was a little warm for my liking, but that was to be expected with how hot it was out. The drinks and service were excellent too. We tipped pretty generously and were well taken care of the entire week. We even had some favorites that recognized us by the middle of the week. The rooms were comfortable enough, but were a little old looking. Didn't bother us though. Overall, we had a wonderful time!!
“Can't wait to go back”
Great Vacation! Highly recommeded.
“Patio Tequila Time!!!!”
A group of 16 of us stayed at this hotel beginning of March 2009. This was definately the best place to stay. The service was great, all of the employees were eager to please, the beach was beautiful, the pools were huge. We can't wait to go back!!!!
“Everything was Great, no complaints, will return.”
Hotel was very nice, staff all proffessional, food was great. AAA+++.
“I wish to be there at least three times a year I'll do after my retirament”
What can I say! don't wait and go to Riu you will have an exelent experience that you will never forget, I am talking with my sons and making plans to get together with their families and have a wanderfull time in Cancun Riu Caribe be there soon!
“Great deal for the price”
I have been to Cancun many times. Riu Caribe is a great hotel for the price. The staff were very helpful and extremely organized. My only complaint is the restaurant reservation system. Most reservations are taken before 8am. The system for pool side chairs is a little ridiculous. We rotated waking up at 6 am to reserve chairs and make a dinner reso. Other then this issue, the rooms were clean, balcony was awesome with great view, drinks were strong ($1 bills for tips go a long way!). Liquor dispensor was awesome. We left a dollar in the refrigerator and were never in short supply of liquor, beer, soda, and water. The spa was awesome. Had the best massage I have ever had in Mexico, very skilled deep tissue massage. The crowd was very mixed with families, singles, groups. There is something for everyone. PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN KEEP THEM IN THE KID'S POOL! THAT IS WHY IT IS THERE!!! If you want a reasonably priced place to stay with decent food, good drinks, and good location, this is the spot for you.
“Awesome hotel for the Money!”
Great Hotel! Service, Pool, Beach, Patio, Lobby Bar....ALL GREAT.. Room was decent. We got a JR. Suite with a patio which was incredible. Door going out was jammed and had to jimmy it. Door to our room would not lock...had to call maintance on that one. We requested a King..got 2 double beds. Hotel was full so they could not accomodate. Food was good. Shangri-La was GREAT. Buffett of Sushi is always good. My wife & I both got hour long massages which were WELL WORTH IT. Drinks are not strong. Order doubles. Entertainment staff rocked. Very well organized for Water Polo, Ping Pong, Volleyball. We will return to this hotel.
“cant wait to go back....”
me and my bf were there for 4 nights/5 days and had the best time of our lives! the people at the hotel were soo friendly and the entire entertainment team were amazing and hilarious. They really know how to keep travelers happy. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and the beach was amazing. The food could have been a little better. Other than that, the shows at nights were great, and the view from our room was great. We're going back to cancun on Dec. 15 and of course we're staying at RIU!
“Great Experience!! Would go back gladly”
We stayed at the Riu Caribe at the end of July 2009, we loved the hotel. The staff was great, always attentive and corteous, the beach and the pool are really nice. The room was very nice, confortable always clean and the mini bar alway replenished. The food was good, not excellent, but good and with sufficient variety to allow you to eat something different even if you stay for more than a week. I feel very confortable recommending this hotel and would definetely go back myself.
“Would go back”
My Girlfriend spent 8 days and 7 nights. We had the best time. The Staff was nice and got us everything we needed. The Food was good and the drinks flowed all day long. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We did not have to leave the how time we were there.
