“Best budget hotel in Cancun”
I'm very impressed with the quality of the service. Great staff from the front desk to the housekeeper.

This hotel is very satisfactory especially for those want to escape the touristic atmosphere of cancun. on front of the pier for boats to isla de mujeres. the staff is very friendly but a bit casual. i arrived in a rainstorm and there was was nobody present t to check me in. They upgraded me for third expedience.
“cheep and good hotel.”
excellent hotel, the stuff were very helpfull and kind. the lucation of the hotel is a bit far but excellent for whom who has morning flight and don't have farry from isla-mujeres. in front of the hotel there is oxxo.

This hotel is new and in great condition. The staff are attentive to clients and provide information on the area and how to get around. They can arrange tours to Chitzen Itza for a very reasonably price. It is located near several very good seafood restaurants with reasonably priced dishes. Breakfast--included-- is simple--toast, coffee or tea, orange juice, butter and marmalade. There is inexpensive micro service for to the centre of town or to the beach at Punta Sam. From the ferry terminal across the street boats leave regularly for Isla Mujeres. The neighbourhood is quiet and very Mexican in flavour compared to the hotel district between the city and the airport. El Meco Mayan ruins are 2 kilometres walk from the hotel, or less than 5 minutes by micro.
“Nothing significant”
For the money paid not too bad. However not the best area. I thought it was close to Cancun hotel zone.Service was OK though

staff very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. About a 30 min walk to the hotel zone. I had no problems at all there. 24 hour Convenient store, Oxxo, directly across the street, if you need a quick snack. I stayed there for 10 days.
“It is ok as a crash pad.”
Hotel del Sol has basic rooms and has a small breakfast consisting of cereal and toast. It is definitely not a glitzy hotel in the Zona Hotelera and quite from the downtown. However, you can always take a taxi at the nearby Puerto Juarez or a collectivo to the downtown. If you are looking for an alternative to Isla Mujeres,, this might fit the bill. The hotel's surrounding is very quiet but also bear in mind of the abandoned stores in the area. Generally, the room was clean for except for one night where they did not change the towels. However, they were very prompt to rectify this situation. I used hotel as my base/crash pad while I was exploring Quintana Roo and surroundings
“Good for budget traveller!”
Very good hotel for the price, saved me tons of money since I didn't really come here for the resorts. The hotel is a bit far from food and cancun itself, but there are taxis right outside all the time as well as buses.
“Too far from activities”
It's a bargain, but you'll probably spend enough on taxis and buses getting to a better location to 'vacation' that it's worth staying in a more upscale hotel in the Hotel Zone. I must mention, though, that we got to the airport and discovered we left a cell phone in the room. The desk clerk (Stella) has gone way beyond the call of duty trying to get the phone back to us. Won't find THAT kind of service everywhere!
“Careful with the neighborhood”
The staff was excellent, very nice and friendly. The hotel is not that bad however, the neighborhood is not nice at all. It is very dark at night, the road is under construction and it gets a little scary at night.
