A 2-story health club contains men's and women's massage and steam rooms and includes an air-conditioned fitness center featuring cardio and weight machines, free weights, and an aerobics area. As part of the all-inclusive plan, a large, air-conditioned clubhouse provides supervised activities for children. Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa All Inclusive feature direct beach access.
Daylight activities include pool aerobics, bingo, cooking and Spanish lessons, and handicrafts as well as athletic competitions. In addition to complimentary beach cabanas and beach sun loungers/chaise longues, umbrellas, and towels, this property offers onsite bicycle rentals. After-dark activities include karaoke and stage shows in an air-conditioned theater four nights weekly.

Rooms
The Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa All Inclusive offers 487 air-conditioned guestrooms in a 6-story tower. Salmon-colored buildings with white roofs feature Moorish-style domes and decorative oval windows. Balconies and ground-floor terraces provide views of either the Caribbean Sea to the east, Nichupté Lagoon, on the western side of Cancún Island, or the resort's gardens and neatly trimmed lawns.
White walls and ceilings include bas-relief headboards in a nautilus-shell pattern. Floors are pink marble, furniture the color of honey, drapes dark green, and bedspreads in a floral pattern. All rooms provide CD and DVD players, minibar, and makeup/shaving mirrors. In-room safes are available. Some rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access.

Il Pescatore - Italian restaurant and bar offering à la carte options and cooking demonstrations. Open for dinner.
Lobby Bar - Located beside the quieter, smaller pool overlooking the lagoon. Views of the ocean and large pool. Happy hour. Live entertainment every evening. Open from morning until past midnight.
All-Inclusive Clubs - Two clubs offering 24-hour self-service snacks, an international open bar, games, and activities.
Show Bar - Bar open for entire length of show. Air-conditioned theater offering a selection of shows including Tropical, International, Caribbean, Pre-Hispanic, Mexican, and Le Fantastique.
Recreation
The All Inclusive Plan includes use of one racquetball court, and two squash courts. Other facilities include a recreation area containing a half basketball court, bocce, Ping-Pong tables, shuffleboard, horseshoes, a maze, and giant outdoor chess.
As part of the All Inclusive Plan, guests may use pedal boats and kayaks at a marina on Nichupté Lagoon 2.5 miles (4 km) away. A water sports center at the hotel arranges rentals of snorkeling gear, boogie boards, Jet Skis, windsurfers, motor boats, and Hobie Cat sailboats and also books scuba diving and snorkeling lessons and excursions, parasailing flights (including Skyrider flights for two), and fishing trips. Cancún has two 18-hole golf courses, Cancún Golf Club, 2.75 miles (4.5 km) away and Hilton Cancún Golf Club, 4 miles (6.5 km) away.

“Gran Caribel Real Rocks!”
As you walk in you are greeted, and then you see the beautiful view. OMG! Very nice lobby. The staff was wonderful, we didn't expect this much attention. Will definitely go back to GCR!
“Can't wait to go back in January”
Me and my husband just got back last week. And we had the most relaxing vacation ever. I actually miss the hotel staff. How often would you say that about a staff??? Food wasn't that great..But the staff the service we received, made it all right....Make sure don't use the room phone to call anywhere, we end up paying almost $300.00 worth of just a few phone calls. The place is beautiful. You must pick this hotel. Its worth every penny you spent there....
“Wonderful trip!”
We had a great experience! The staff is very friendly and treated us great. We enjoyed the meals in The Albatross restaurant the most. Dinner at Maria's was very good, but you must make reservations - do it as soon as you know what night you want to go there. I wish they had heated the pool at least a little as it was way too cold! Our bed was hard and uncomfortable but it appears they are in the process of upgrading all the beds in the hotel. The most comfortable bed in the room was the sofabed! The food was very good, the alcoholic drinks were a little weak but you can drink all you want so that's okay! I would definitely go back!!!!
“Very Impressive”
The Royal hotel was an amazing hotel. They had good food, terrific drinks, great entertainment in the lobby. The pools are awesome. The beach front was wonderful, lots of seats to choose from. The staff was wonderful. They catered to your every whim. Would I stay there again? Absolulety!!!!! This place was paradise. If you want a great hotel this is the one. You wont be dissapointed.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Cancun May 23rd-27th it was our first time there, it was absolutely beautiful! This hotel was amazing We enjoyed the buffet restaurant at the poolside. The beach is beauitful as well. Next time we travel to Cancun we will be staying here. Our rooms were nice and cozy , they did a great job of keeping our room clean...everything was well maintained, with a very friendly staff. GREAT location...over all this hotel was amazing! I had a wonderful time!!!! :)
“Would like to go back...SOON!!!!”
The hotel was nice. The rooms were very clean and updated. Great air condition. The bed were a bit too firm. The housekeepers were AWESOME! The food was good; the buffet was the best. (when they say the restaurant is air conditioned that means it's only about 10 degrees cooler than outside. In other words it's HOT) The waiters in the restaurants were very friendly and helpful. However, the pool staff were not so helpful or friendly. Unless you were a young female. The main pool was not as clean as I would have liked; way too small for this size of a hotel. We mainly chose this hotel for the beach and we were not disappointed. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! There were way too many children at this resort; but good for families traveling with children. For the price you can't go wrong!

My wife and I came to Cancun for our 2nd anniversary. We booked the resort online and didn't know what to expect. We were thoroughly pleased. From the dinners, to the shows, the beach access, the room and especially the people there like our concierge, Albert. We cannot wait to return.

Our experience at the Gran Caribe Real beat our expectations. The grounds, lobby, and rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and always had time to help out or just say "hi" ("hola"). The food was well balanced and met all of our needs. Our favorite restaurant was Maria's - excellent steak. We ate there twice. The pool activities were numerous and entertaining. The night life was what you make of it. Totally enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony, taking in the sea breeze and the sight of the multicolored water. I would definitaly recommend.
“We Loved Our Stay!!”
We stayed here for an entire week. The only slight problem was our initial room did not include the bunk beds and they had to change our room location. Other than that, we had an amazing experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms comfortable and my kids had a blast. There were planned activities ever day around the pool, the kids pool area has slides and was a lot of fun. The food was good – even my kids who are picky eaters were able to find something every single meal that satisfied them. We made reservations at the restaurant on site and had an amazing meal! I also took my mother along on the trip who has difficulty walking. Every time we entered the dining rooms the wait staff helped her to her table and even waited for her to fill her plate and carry it back to the table for her. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and we will definitely stay here the next time we visit Cancun.

Resort was excelant. All the staff was great and very helpfull and friendly. The only thing that could use a little improvement would be the food. I will return for another stay.
