Quaint property with a great location. Some of the room needed a bit of a freshening and there were long dark hairs stuck to the bed linens. Normally this would have horrified me but it didn’t feel ‘dirty’, just something that happened. A short walk to Plaza Mayor and all the old town sites. Many restaurant options in a variety of price ranges. Would book there again.

Was a lovely welcome even though we did not arrive until after 11pm.Was great that they spoke some english as my Spanish not very good. They where always very helpful and lovely welcome when you came back. Bedrooms where a nice size, everything to a high standard. Only one thing that would have been good would have been something to make a cup of normal tea, but think that is a British thing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Caceres as it is so central. It was so good we have booked to go back end of March

Lovely stay
I stayed at Don Carlos Cáceres for a week while attending a course nearby and it was perfect. My room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were friendly and kind. Fantastic location in the old city as well. I will stay there again the next time I visit Cáceres.

OK hotel in Caceres
Good location in Caceres in the middle of the Old Town. The hotel is an older yet renovated building. The room was nice but a bit "tired", e.g., the windows did not lock, so we closed the blinds when we were out of the room for the day, and at night. Breakfast was OK. The parking station was a bit difficult to find, but only a few minutes away from the hotel.

Old and classic with modern facilities.
It was fab-I wasn't expecting it to be as well equipped or comfortable as it actually was- knowing it was a historical building-but my room had everything I needed and reception lent me an adapter to help charge my phone when I realised I had forgotten mine.

The hotel is in a great location in Caceres. The room was very comfortable. Two improvements I would suggest are that the shower leaked water all round the bathroom as the shower tray did not have a sufficient depth to capture the water that built up due to slow drainage. Also the directions to exit the car park are very poor. Better signs are needed in the car park.

You will find it difficult to have a more attentive and caring team to take carre of every need... What a lovely well managed property with unique furnishings in the heart of the old part of the city. Lovely simple breakfast in nice setting at an affordable price

Great location
The hotel was difficult to find as our GPS sent us the wrong way. The hotel is in an excellent location for seeing Caseres by foot. Our room was quite small but comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

A brief visit toCaceres great hotel
We particularly liked being able to have une queen bed rather than 2 single beds joined together. We appreciated very much options for gluten free breakfast! Option for parking a plus! Brief visit to Cáceres, yet memorable!

Good location near downtown
Cool, sunny December whether in beautiful Medieval urban landscape. Excellent and affordable food. Look for lunch menus and local dishes, including regional wines and specialty beers. Must try cheese "Torta del Casar."

This is very basic accommodation: clean and functional. The staff is available only part time. The immediate area is modern and residential, so few restaurants. The historic area is several blocks and an uphill walk away.

Quaint Hotel with a 'vintage/antique charm' furnished bric-a-brac from bootfairs etc.,that is well situated to the Historic City Centre. Staff are friendly helpful - only demerit is lack of a proper 'restaurant facility'. Really a bed and breakfast hotel. Their own car park is a bonus and not too far from the hotel.

Magnificent little hotel
First Saturday night at the hotel we were kept awake by a bar (below hotel) downstairs until 4am, although we had no further problems any other night. The hotel was quirky and had great decoration inside, as well as being situated only a few hundred metres from Plaza Mayor which is an ideal location for being in the centre of Caceres. Breakfast was well stocked including for people with dietary requirements with a range of cold and hot options available. Rooms are small but more adequate with traditional decor as part of the charm.

Definitely worth more than two stars!
This hotel is charming, individual, clean, surprisingly spacious and, to us, seemed quite luxurious. The room was tastefully decorated, with a cute balcony and had everything we needed. Breakfast was refreshing and generous. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The surrounding area is perfect for exploring, eating and shopping. I wish we had stayed longer! It definitely exceeds the expectations of a two star hotel.

Good hotel in a lovely town
Hotel with a secure car park was a bonus. Good central location. I do not understand those reviewers who could not find hotel from car park!! very easy less than 5 mins walk away. We opted to take breakfast outside of the hotel (cheaper option, always is). Rooms are very traditional, dark wood but everything you need is there, including a TV if you want one. Good value for a comfortable, clean and centrally located hotel. Caceres is a lovely town full of character.

Above Expectation
This hotel was a great find that made our vacation a comfortable and memorable one. The room and the decoration of the hotel was warm and welcoming, and everything provided in the room was in great condition. In addition, the staff were really friendly and helpful on giving recommendations. Location-wise, the hotel was surrounded by shops and restaurants, and in close proximity to plaza mayor and the old town.
