Received extremely poor customer service by the FOH staff (Yvette & Dana) shortly after checking in. Walked into our room to find the couch broken and in an unusable state and the room only partly cleaned. Yvette & Dana were extremely unhelpful and dismissive.
The BOH head cleaner (Bec) was extremely helpful and a great problem solver. She had us in our new room about an hour and a half after checking in.
This was our 3rd time staying at the Retreat and couldn't believe how unhelpful the FOH staff were. Wasted 90 precious minutes until Bec was able to get us in a room that was fit for purpose.
Very disappointing way to start our vacation.
Upon checkout 2 days later, the FOH staff on this occasion was the very experienced Peter, who was actually working his last day at the Retreat. He was great, apologetic and had the empathy to understand why we were upset and disappointed at the state of the room, and more importantly, as to why we were upset at the treatment that we received from the FOH staff Yvette and Dana.
