"They are not advertising this place correctly. I’m from WAY out of town… here to visit a friend who’s working in the local hospital. I’m also from a big city and travel often, so when I’m saying this is “5-stars excellent”, I mean it. The advertising is confusing… it’s actually a resort with 3 hotels in one. Some amenities are shared, like spa, casino, restaurants, arcade, etc. The 21+ side (Great River, formally Catfish something) has been recently renovated. It still smells new (June 2026). It’s very clean, the elevator is fast. The rooms are spacious. I have a king-sized bed, couch, desk, ottoman, nightstand stands (with USB and USB-C ports), microwave, closet, full bathroom with a vanity area. My room is bigger than my friend’s studio apartment LOL! My only small complaints about the room are 1, there’s a Keurig with kcups but no bottled water provided 2, there’s was no iron or ironing board. They did bring one but the board is ½ sized, slides around and the padding isn’t sufficient. 3, the shower is not caulked correctly so mold is already forming. 4, the HVAC is making some kind of crackling noise non-stop. You don’t notice with the TV on but without that it kind of sounds like a campfire… a crackling-type of noise. Anyway, the place is nice and if for some reason I come back to Burlington IA, I would stay here again."
