“Great hotel in Budapest”
Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast is nice, bed was comfortable. Not a huge hotel. I would definitely stay there again!
“Great Little Hotel Right in the centre”
All was very clean and great value for money. Only a few minutes walk to the centre.
“Great boutique hotel and great location.”
Great smaller size hotel in great location. Was easy to walk to the many sights. Breakfast buffet was adequate to start the day. Did not use the sauna and other facilties so can not comment on those. Room faced street front so could get a little noisy but it is the city. In room safe did not work. Staff had upgraded our room upon arrival. Liked it because it was not one of the huge hotels that you could get lost in. Would stay there again and recommend.
“excellent value for money”
A centrally located hotel offering adequate facillities to explore the region. A hop on hop off bus ticket available at the hotel or locally enables you to travel to the major siteseeing activities. As the hotel is situated in an ideal position many major atractions are within walking distance. Hotel clean, room and breakfast adequate and staff friendly. Highly recommended.
“Fantastic, highly recommend”
The Carat Hotel is absolutely great and in a brilliant location. Almost everything was in walking distance and things that werent were easily reached by bus, tram or taxi. The room was comfortable and surprisingly large. The only downside was that we booked a double bed and recieved two singles pushed together... ordinarily I wouldnt mind but they also gave us 2 single blankets inside of a double, which was a little disappointing. But the fact that this is all I have to complain about is a very good sign indeed. Dont hesitate booking!
“Hotel Carat, Budapest - 24-carat gold!”
This was the first time at this hotel for my partner and me, and we would not hesitate to return. From arrival to departure, the entire experience (staff, surroundings, facilities) was exactly as could be hoped for. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a variety of hot and cold options and vegetarians catered for. The staff all spoke English at levels ranging from sufficient to near-fluent, and we experienced genuine, unforced levels of courtesy from everyone. Check-out was at 11:00, and we asked if we could retain our room until 14:00 on our last day, to allow us to do a bit of last -minute this-and-that, then return to freshen up before leaving for the airport. We were allowed to do so for a modest fee, which we were happy to pay. All in all, the Hotel Carat is a delightful place, right in the middle of the city, a minute's walk from Deák Ferenc Tér metro station and other public-transport facilities, close to restaurants… A place to which we would happily return!
“Can't wait to go back”
We stayed for 5 nights at hotel Carat, and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was in a great location, close to the metro and trams. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpfull. We definitely recomend this hotel.
“Very nice Hotel.”
The Hotel is in a very good location to go site seeing and the Staff were very helpful and were able to give you lots of information on things to see and do.It is on a oneway street with a bit of traffic but nothing to noisey. The breakfast was lovely lots to choose from. The room was very clean and the rest of the Hotel was kept very clean .I would recomend the Hotel to anyone.
“Nice place, great location”
We needed a place just for one night, and the Carat was a great location- one block near of Deak ter, and on the newly-renovated Kiraly utca. It's also not too far from Andrassy and the Operahouse. The room was not large, but was very comfortable, and the breakfast was about the best I've seen in Budapest. Wifi was included, as well.
“City break, February 2012”
Spotlessly clean throughout. Very conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff. Room a little on the small side and could have done with more storage space, but clean and otherwise comfortable. Breakfast adequate; good by European standards. One small grumble; bar closed at 10pm and not open at all on Sundays.
