“Great Hotel”
Probably the best hotel I've stayed in for the price. Really comfy beds. Very clean. Great staff; very helpful especially the night staff. Really good breakfast. Informal and relaxed setting. Nice location not too far from sights.
“Modern, clean - excellent breakfast”
We stayed in the Bohem Art Hotel for 3 nights. We found the location good and the hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. The room was comfortable with a very nice wetroom, nice hot and powerful shower, soap, shampoo and body lotion etc replenished daily. Fridge and hairdryer also in the room. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, a good standard of food. The two guys that worked in the breakfast room were helpful, friendly and polite, very happy to help. They kept the room clean and tidy. Every afternoon there was free Tea/Coffee available which you can take up to your room. Would reccommed to friends.
“Modern stylist hotel”
The title says it all really. This is a modern and very stylist hotel, located close to the Liberty bridge. Ideally situated for sight seeing, shopping and resuarants. The staff at the hotel speak very good english and can not do enough for you. Beakfast is buffet style, with 'full english' style should you require it, and even 'Bucksfizz' is available. The rooms are clean and of a good size, we had a standard double and were very happy with it. I would recommend this hotel to any one visting the city and can wait to return.
“Quite literally...off the wall!”
The Bohem Art Hotel was somewhere quite different from anything we've stayed at before in terms of style and decoration. Each room had it's own modern art mural (the idea can be seen from the hotel's own website) and this made our room particularly bright and cheerful. Our room although not large was nevertheless sufficient for our needs. The hotel breakfast, buffet style was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful and they all spoke perfect English. Tea/coffee was provided in the afternoon, along with Internet and WiFi which worked really efficiently. Hotel location was perfect on Molnar Uta,. being sandwiched between the Danube and Vaci Uta, one of the main shopping thoroughfares and close by to tram lines, metro and buses. We would unhesitatingly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Budapest best suited for couples here to visit art galleries, museums and the important sights in Budapest. The whole trip was excellant value for money.
“We loved the hotel!”
We stayed at the Bohem for four nights in early November. On arrival, to our surprise and delight, the hotel upgraded us to one of their spacious Art & History Suites (room 103). This room retains its original high, vaulted ceiling and arched windows yet has been stylishly modernised and is very comfortable and very clean. We were impressed by the imaginative way they had divided the bathroom area from the rest of the room. The breakfast buffet caters to all tastes from fruit and cereals to eggs and bacon. We especially enjoyed the varied breads, and freshly squeezed orange juice. One slight niggle: the 2 tea/coffee-making machines were very slow so there was often a queue of guests waiting for hot drinks. We would have preferred to have a pot of coffee served at table or failing that, access to a third tea/coffee-making machine. The location is good: in a quiet side street, very close to the Danube, Liberty Bridge, Central Market and the pedestrianised Vaci Utca. We tried out several local restaurants: Trattoria Toscana (Italian), Taverna Dionysus (Greek), Araz restauarant (modern Hungarian) and the Borsso bistro (French-Hungarian). All were very good. Last but not least: all the Bohem staff we dealt with were very friendly, smiley and helpful.
“Great Location, Nice Design, Fabulous Breakfast”
Bohem is a very nice place to stay for a few days in Budapest. I was there for six days in November 2011. This was my first trip to Budapest, and the hotel was ideally situated - one street up from the Danube, a two-minute walk to the Great Market Hall, one block to Vaci Utca, with lots of restaurants, shops and people watching. While this is not the finest hotel I've ever stayed in, the bed was comfortable, I had a good reading light (essential), and the breakfast was a vast buffet with tons of Hungarian delicacies. You can open the windows in the room, and the water in the shower is consistently hot. The front desk staff is very helpful, and sold me a tour bus ticket, a ticket to the Gellert Baths, and recommended various excellent restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.
“Ideal for a city break”
The location of this hotel was ideal sandwiched between the Danube and the Vaci utca, Budapest's most famous street. The hotel was modern and clean. The breakfast surpassed our expectation with champagne included if you wished. We would definitely return, if there are any vacancies after this review!
“Would definitely go back”
My husband and I were looking for a quiet Hotel near the city centre, we were not disappointed by Bohem Art Hotel the staff were all very friendly and very keen to help out. The included buffet breakfast was very comprehensive and generous and the quality was great. it also included a glass of champagne if desired. The decor was fresh and modern and the rooms were comfortable the bathroom amenities were all you needed. The only thing that was lacking was a kettle for an early coffee or late night cup of tea. The hotel did provide an afternoon coffee or tea with snacks that were free to guests but it would have been nice to have availed ourselves of this machine at other times than the 2 30-5 pm slot allocated. The location was brilliant just a stones throw to the main shopping street loaded with restaurants and shops. Also very close to the " Market building' where you can buy fresh produce including cheeses and salamies or handcrafts. There is a stop for the Big bus tour next to the markets which was handy. Try the restaurant called "Fatal" which is down a side street just near the hotel but make sure you take your appetite as the servings are enormous. We spent 3 days at Bohem Art hotel and would definitely book again if we return to Budapest
“Modern and quirky gem”
We stayed for the weekend at this hotel and can highly recommend it. The location is great and is within easy walking distance of all the main things to see in Budapest. It was spotlessly clean and the decor is gorgeous, apparently each room is different with different artworks featured throughout the hotel. We took advantage of the breakfast (included) and it was also great. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The only thing that we could possibly be critical of was that the room was quite small but it was so nicely decorated and appointed that we'd easily overlook that. All in all, highly recommended.
“Excellent hotel”
We had a fantastic time in Budapest, not least because of this splendid hotel. The rooms are not enormous or overly luxurious but nor was the hotel expensive. Instead it has a really nice feel, excellent breakfast, free wifi in the rooms, and most importantly really delightful members of staff who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
