“Lovely Hotel”
Lovely hotel clean rooms were a good size, nice bathrooms
“The Higgins - February 2012”
The hotel is in a lovely spot on the river front with a couple of nice restaurants and bars close by. It is a bit of a trek over to Pest where the majority of the shops and eateries are but a taxi (booked by the helpful receptionist) will get you there in 5 minutes for under £10.00. Only one complaint about the hotel was that there was no where for guests to get a drink if the bar was booked out for a private function. We had a wonderful break in Feb 12 and would certainly recommend this hotel to any friends who wish to stay in a quieter area of Budapest.
“Highly recommended”
Highly recommended with fantastic view and courteous and helpful staff
“Beautiful view, great base for exploring”
We booked a Danube view and it was just stunning. Lovely view of the Parliament and the Chain Bridge - difficulty shutting the curtain and going off to sleep with everything to look at was the only problem! Service was polite and efficient. Hotel very clean and tidy. Although on Buda side it is perfect for exploring all the sights of Buda, including walking down the hill via all the little paths after a lovely meal at night. The metro station (and supermarket) is really close by and easy to use and then you are straight over to Pest, or you can easily walk over the Chain bridge so lots of options. Like all places in Budapest smoking indoors is still allowed, so make sure you book a non-smoking room if that is your preference. The Sailor Bar/Resturant on the corner near the hotel was really good - great Wiener Schnitzel and steak and vege kebab sticks and nice salad. Highly recommend Cafe Perriot up the hill (near the Hilton) for a luxury meal.
“Great hotel”
This is an excellent hotel - modern and trendy. 5 mins walk from palace. Excellent room with view of danube, parliament buildings an chain bridge. Staff very helpfull. Beautiful part of the city to stay. Couple of pubs/ restaurants close by for cheap food and drink.
“Great surprise”
Friendly, courteous staff & very comfortable rooms. Hotel is centrally located and withing short walking distance of most of the sights. Would definitely stay there again!
“VERY Impressed”
The hotel was clean and modern. The hotel resturant was reasonably priced and food was good shame it was so quite. Would certaintly go back and definately pay the extra for the river view.... AMAZING.
“Just what we needed”
The hotel is on the river and I went for a long weekend with my friend. The hotel staff spoke good English and were really helpful with recommendations etc. The rooms were just what we needed and my only criticism would be that the hairdryer is not suitable for anyone with thick or long hair! As you come out of the hotel, turn left and walk a few metres to the most fabulous steak restaurant down some steps.
“faultless”
this was me and my partners first visit to budapest and i couldnt of found a better hotel.the staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable with a balcony view over the danube.if you read this review and its your first time in budapest save yourself time reviewing other hotels and just book art'otel.you wont find better, believe me.!
“Art'otel was lovely, I would recommend it”
The hotel is 5 mns walk from the metro and bus station, on the Buda side of the Danube, almost opposite the houses of parliament. Very easy to find and easily accessible from the airport. My friend and I caught the bus (200) from outside the terminal, you can buy a tickt in the newsagent in the terminal, don't forget to validate it on the way in . some of the little machines don't work so you may have to try another further in the bus. When you get to the metro you can buy a book of tickets or a 2,3 or 7 day pass, which came into its own as we could hop on or of the trams , buses or metros when we were tired of walking. The hotel was very nice, fascinating art work, nice staff, nice rooms, very comfortable beds, very clean, nice en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was good, buffet style with plenty for everyone and with the option of having fried eggs and ham or bacon cooked to order.Tea and coffee, cereals, different breads and rolls and croissants, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses.Within walking distance of most sites, lots to do. Lots of restaurants and cafes near by also, if you want a change from the hotel. We had a nice relaxing break
