“Strongly recommend”
The staff is very kind. The location is very good, very near to the Fortitude Valley subway station. This hotel is cheap. Although it is nearby a road, it is very quiet in its room. I looks not very new, but the smell in its room is good, not like it looks. I think the owner must manage and maintain it very well. One more thing, when the reception girl ( As I remember, her name should be Yuki) found that we have a kid, she help us to upgrade to a bigger room for free. Although the room is not so big compared with those 5 star hotel, the reception girl really did much help!! About their telephone, they set a special key (#5) for booking a taxi. It is very useful and convinient.
“Great little hotel.”
Small rooms but very quiet and very clean. Close to transport and main party area of Brisbane. More than you would expect for the money.
“friendly staff”
Nice hotel. Great location, near China town. 15 walk to large shopping area. 10 minute walk to river front. The staff was very helpful. The front desk has limited hours, but that was not a problem.
“very convenient and good value”
Stayed one night in May for State of Origin rather than drive home. A very conveniently located "hotel" in terms of proximity to railway station and the Brunswick street Mall for food options. The rooms are very small but well maintained, the ensuite bathroom had a slight "drainy" smell but not enough to be unpleasant and no problem if the door is kept closed. They should fit exhaust fans in each bathroom as there is no ventilation, this would help keep the "musty" or "drainy" smell to a minimum. The bed was comfortable and the room had a small (bar size) refrigerator, a kettle, heating/cooling by split system air conditioning, a chair, a very small wardrobe and a storage cupboard. Reception is only open 8am to 7pm and your room key enables entry when reception is closed. An easy 10 minute walk to the train station and 15 minutes to the Brunswick street Mall for retaurants, fast food, or Pub, night life options in this area also. Great value for an overnight stay for one person, a couple would be a bit of a squash. A longer term stay for one person would be ok if you only wanted the room to sleep and shower in. Overall nice people and clean and tidy rooms, good value.
“Perfect for our needs”
Perfect for our needs close to a venue we visit frequently, rooms are small but clean and comfortable. This establishment would not be suitable for an extented stay. Will be staying again in the near future.
“You get what you pay for”
Low cost and the hotel offers just this in terms of amenity. Very convenient to public transport and only one stop from Brisbane central. Night clubs nearby but they did not interfer with sleep
“You will love it if you have been camping”
Really just a backpackers place. Tiny room with on suite. Noisy and cooking smells from the downstairs kitchen permeate the rooms. If you want somewhere just to sleep, not bad but you could get cheaper. Pros - Close to railway, nightclubs, buses and city. Staff did their best. Cons - Be careful walking after dark in the area. The Hotel is at the dodgy end of Brunswick St. No fly screens, no veiw (brick wall). I slept ok after I bought some ear plugs.
“Not enough for the price.”
For the price I would have expected more. Though it was clean it really is more hostel than hotel.
