“Comfortable hotel”

If you want the Ritz Carlton, you're in the wrong city. For the price and location, the Rodeway Inn was a comfortable place to stay. We were immediately attended to and were walking to our room within 10 minutes. All of the staff were very friendly. The bathroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable as well. During the night our neighbors failed to understand what quiet hours were, so the noise level was a bit of an issue until their "buzz" turned into a "drunk" then turned into "passed out". I don't hold that one against the hotel at all, it's just simple disrespect that is commonplace today. Passing through, visiting family, or too tired to drive any further, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“review of hotel”

The hotel was great but at breakfast time there was no selection of food.We had to eat elsewhere. However a busload of guests had eaten before us.

“Pleasant Stay...”

It was a nice stay. Very quiet part of town, not much traffic on Saturday and Sunday. It's an older hotel and could use some updates. The staff was very helpful. After making my reservations online, I walked in, told them my name and showed my ID, and my key was ready and waiting.

“What a hotel should be, a place to sleep.”

If you worry about wall & floor finishes being the most modern & fancy then don't stay here. If you want a clean, comfortable room to relax and sleep in this is a great option. AC unit worked great, bathroom was fully functional, and there was a flat screen TV with a lot of channels, including music channels.

“Bargain!”

We had a weekend baseball tourney Sat/Sun and needed a room to basically crash for the night. I read the earlier reviews of this hotel...dirty, dis-repair, etc....still booked here as I thought for the price and what we were looking for, it was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. Now let me preface this by saying: if you are expecting the Ritz or Four Seasons, don't stay here! If you are looking for a clean, simple, inexpensive room then this is for you! Yes the window AC unit was a bit loud, but you know what, it worked...and believe me I like my rooms icy cold! Complex has a very nice outdoor pool area if you are so inclined as well... We didnt eat the breakfast, but when we checked out there were lots of folk there who were eating and it smelled good! Frankly, I think we have an entire generation growing up that doesn't know a hotel experience other than the fancy "suites" chains or the "econo-box brands" of hotels out there....this hotel has obviously been around a while and frankly I found it somewhat charming and harkened back to stays of my youth traveling the Texas highways with my grandparents! And all of that for upwards of HALF the cost of the other guys around town! Its all about the adventure and your expectations...no chocolate on the pillow here but the water was hot, linens were clean, pool was fun, etc...I think it is well worth every penny spent AND saved!

“It works for most people”

We had a good but light sleep since the beds were a bit old and uncomfortable. Their breakfast is generous, but not very healthy and not at all friendly to anyone cutting sugar or bread from their diet for health or other reasons. Some sugar-free protein would be nice in the breakfast such as plain yoghurt and walnuts or almonds or boiled eggs.

“OK for the price.”

will probably stay there again since my main need wwhile in Brenham is only for a place to sleep and shower. Hotel had some minor plumbing issues in my room [sink hot water faucet would not shut off] however hotel was clesn and comfortable.Only complaint was breakfast selection was put up too early. Entered lobby for breakfast aroun 9:45 and there was nothing there to choose from.
