“Bonn Value”
First time we've stayed in an Ibis and good value for a basic, clean hotel. Location is great in easy walking distance of the interesting parts of the city and the 625 and 635 buses go past the door on the way into town (next street up coming out because of the one-way). The San Telmo Spanish restaurant round the corner on Breite Strasse was a big hit for us with its chorizo pizza and tasty fish dishes plus generous Cuba Libres! A big tip for Bonn is the Bonn Welcome card on the day of your arrival or departure (details from Information at the Airport). This gives you 24 hour access to all trams and buses including the Airport Bus (675 every 20 minutes from the Bus/Train station). It costs 18 Euros for a two person card which is way less than a taxi and also includes free access to most museums. It is valid for 24 hours from the moment that you time and date it so our 10am flight on Friday allowed us most of Thursday too.
“Average Price, Average Hotel!”
The IBIS as pretty much as you would expect for the price, small boxy room but clean and tidy. Hard to say much else as all really was pretty average, nothing spectacular but nothing particularly negative Breakfast is expensive for what you get and as with some other European hotels you don't get a kettle or tea tray in the room, which is a disappointment for us Brits!
“Overnight stop”
Good hotel for a stopover, easily accessible from autobahn, secure parking and 10 minute walk into shopping/centre area
