“Do I really need a title?”
The hotel is at the top of a hill, in a park. There is no realistic way to get there, or to get to other things, than with a car. The restaurant is excellent. My impression is that Bonn-ers come to this place for a fancy dinner. The room is unusually clean. I even took a bath -- it has to be real clean for me to want to do that. I stayed there in mid-April. The heat had apparently been turned off, I was kind of cold unless under covers. I never asked the front desk, so it's possible something could have been done about it.
“Dorint Hotel Bonn”
This hotel is in a hillside neighbourhood not far from Bad Godesberg. The Burg Godesberg is visible from the hotel restaurant as are the Drachenfels ruins further up the Rhein. The hotel staff are outstanding. They make the guest feel very welcome. They are very helpful. The accomodations were excellent. This is the ideal location for someone who wants a quiet location. If one is looking for something close to Bonn's nightlife, then one should look elsewhere. While there were tourists at this hotel, we found most of the guests were business travellers.
“Great hotel, great staff, great location.”
The hotel is situated in a quiet location which was great for sleeping. There are running/walking trails right behind the hotel which we took advantage of. There is also a fruit/vegetable stand at the end of the road that leads to the hotel. We were able to walk down to it everyday for fresh fruit. There is a market very close to the hotel which we walked to several times. Since our room had a refrigerator, we were able to store milk for our daily cereal. (We were on a budget and provided our own breakfasts). We didn't use the pool/sauna/exercise area since we were so busy seeing the sights but it looked great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
