This was the 4th year we have stayed at Eden Beach. We enjoy the resort, the location and the snorkeling on the shore is fabulous. However, we are 75 & 71 years old and getting into the water from the rocky shore is getting more difficult every year. We are truly hoping the pier will be fixed before next winter when we plan to stay on Bonaire again.

They didn't have enough staff to man the restaurant for an evening meal. The only thing on offer was a bar snack menu. The pool was used as diving training area. We left after one night but we're unable to obtain any refund.

I missed a coffee maker or a kettle for warm water in the room. I do not have to have breakfast, but coffee is a must! You have to make e reservation for eating; limited options. The room was clean, bed slept well. Room service every day contrary to what the information was given, every 2 days.

Nice first visit to Bonaire
We came in late and the manager made us some sandwiches which was very much appreciated. The bar staff was very accommodating and the housekeeping staff in our room was stellar. The only concerns would be the lack of guest parking and the common areas were in need of some repairs. The room we stayed in was kept clean but lacked basic amenities such as a refrigerator and shelving in the shower area. Overall a decent place to stay with the employees being better then the condition of the resort.

Very difficult to reach when planning trip. Did not return phone calls or emails. After hours check in only available due to talking with bartender who found check in person. Parking very limited now or unavailable some night time hours due to crowd at bar so guests coming back from diving or dinner need to park across street and walk about 2 blocks to room.

We are snorkel enthusiasts and we are able to enter off the resort’s pier and the snorkeling along the shore is the best we’ve ever seen!

The property itself is nice. Right on the beach with a beautiful reef for diving and snorkeling. It’s a healthy but pleasant and safe walk to town. The rooms are adequate. Our room was missing its smoke detector and the lighting was dark. Customer service was maybe 3 star. The manager on-site was friendly when we saw her. Check-in took 20 mins until someone finally came into the office - and then was disorganized, much like checkout. Beyond that, staff were either indifferent to us, refused requests, or at times seemingly hostile to our presence. It was a holiday weekend and they appeared to be running with all new staff, so maybe it will improve over time. We loved the island, and service elsewhere was good.

This property leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms themselves are pretty bare bones, though the beds were comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. I had to ask multiple times over multiple days to get a second bath towel in the room so my husband and I didn't have to share the single towel that was there upon arrival. Of the 6 nights we stayed, our room was only cleaned for 3 of those days, which is problematic in a small room with no ventilation. Service around the resort is lacking in general. Food at the bar was extremely overpriced, even for the island, and was very much lacking in quality. We did the expensive breakfast at the hotel one morning and it was a total cluster....took us an hour to get food even though it was a buffet. The waterview rooms only have a peek-a-boo view of the water from the balcony. We upgraded to a suite with a kitchen, but there wasn't a microwave and the kitchen is poorly stocked (think 1 cereal bowl total). Although there was a coffee maker in our room (because we had a kitchen, our friends staying in the standard room did not have a coffee maker or mini fridge), there is no coffee/filters/etc for it or even dish detergent to wash up our one bowl.

Lovely and relaxed setting on the Caribbean Sea next to beach with reef and a pool onsite. Small restaurant on premises. Site of ferry to Klein Bonaire which is a plus. Pleasant and friendly staff, basic but very nice king suite with balcony. Negatives are no gym on site and no W/D but overall wonderful.

The entire place needs a thorough upgrade. Dirty beach chairs, taps falling apart, broken beach umbrellas. The staff are not friendly except for a few. The pool sitting area is made of wood. They are old planks, squeaky, with nails rotted all around some. We asked to lay for an upgrade and they said they were completely booked but I looked in the internet and would have been able to get a bigger room with balcony for an extra 20 a night. Every day bus loads of tourists came from the cruise ships to rent a beach chair for the day. Not cool. The place is a bit of a disaster. Owners clearly don’t care about you.

Wonderful Resort
We had an amazing time during our stay at Eden Beach. It’s a perfect location to visit all parts of the island and still be close to the city. There’s amazing snorkeling literally right in front of the resort. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. The rooms are amazing. When we booked our stay, we thought we were getting a double bed room. It turned out to be a two bedroom townhouse, which was an amazing surprise. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Bonaire to stay here. It’s also walking distance to a couple other really good restaurants and small super markets and drug stores.

On the water, pool and bar, Scuba instruction. but hot water for a shower was not always available from 8AM to 8PM. On sunday after noon, off duty staff brought their families for a dip in the pool. 10-15 kids under 8 years old running around, crying etc

Good place to stay. Clean, friendly staff, close to restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for pampering and luxury, this isn't the place for you. However, if you are looking for pampering and luxury, you really shouldn't be going to Bonaire! My only negative, and I feel badly even putting this because it is not Eden Beach's fault, but I feel like people should know, on Friday and Sunday nights, the property next door has very loud events with techno/rave music BLASTING until 1 am. We had a great week here but that last night was awful. I said something at check out and management is aware, but limited in what they can do. For us, and I am sure the many people with kids that were staying at Eden Beach, this was a big problem.

Unfortunately if you were staying with us last week this is true but to be honest it was an exception as for the last few months they were not having any events and the sound was being controlled aprropriately to not disturb guests but I guess last week it was a little too much.

Excellent location, spacious and clean rooms. There were plenty of beach chairs and both the pool and beach area were clean and tidy. Not enough beach towels and they could use newer, fluffier towels. The beach bar was good, however slightly understaffed though not horribly so. We would definitely go back and recommend it.

There is great snorkelling , right off the dock. Taxi's are available , also at the dock, to take you downtown or over to Klein Bonaire -and more excellent snorkelling and diving. The resort also has it's own dive school so people can book dives and leave directly by swimming or boat from the resort. We found the staff generally pleasant and helpful although not always as well informed about hours of operation and amenities as you might hope. The Beach Bar staff for example, were not aware that the restaurant was closed on Saturday night but that a limited menu was available at the beach. On Friday night there was entertainment at the beach - a great singer. I liked that the staff lit fires in the evening along the shore after the sun set. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was better than we had expected, the bed was vey comfortable and the closet had good shelves on which we could place our clothes. Our only disappointment was breakfast. We only had breakfast once in the hotel and thought it over priced --$16 per person and lacking in freshness. There were pre=cooked eggs - somewhat dried up, hard boiled eggs, bread, a selection of cheeses and cold cuts and very limited fruit = mostly canned. Overall we would stay again as we loved the beach area and could always get loungers and easily access the water.

Eden Beach Resort offers many free extras including Yoga, pilates, spin class and TRX. We also took advantage of the Free Cabanas on the edge of the water and the reef 15' off the beach wall was like snorkeling in an aquarium.

Only worth the beach and diving
If you are just going to dive or snorkel it is fine. Don't expect a clean room. Our roof leaked the first night, the second night tar leaked in from them trying to fix it...into my hair. The second room they gave us smelled like sewer the rest of the trip. The front desk didn't seem to care it inconvenienced us. We had to fight to get a complimentary late check out for our trouble, a $30 value. The beach area was nice and big, however they let anyone come in and use it. It didn't get too full, but I could see it being full when a cruise ship comes in.

Location, beach, and bar are great. Rooms were ok but somewhat dark. Bath towels are about as cheap as you can get. Additionally, they were "out" of beach towels 3 times we asked for them, and the ones we did get were stained and torn with holes. The breakfast buffet was $16.50 but very poorly presented and always a mess. Food at the bar was good though.
