“Great hotel with spacious rooms”
Reviewers of this hotel have got it pretty spot on. The breakfast is superb and all the staff are friendly and professional. It is suited to younger people generally as it is a km from the centre of Bologna. We were very impressed with the hotel and the people from the area were very honest and did not treat us as "tourists to be milked". There is an excellent pizzeria, unfortunately named "Brace", in the vicinity, which does superb pizzas and very fresh seafood dishes.
“Excellent hotel”
An excellent hotel. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable room. The restaurant is excellent, if you choose to eat there you will not be disappointed.
“Weekend in Bologna”
This hotel is perfect for a weekend break in Bologna - clean friendly albergo just a ten minute walk from the centre of town, or a two minute walk to the bus stop.
“Great hotel, bit of a walk.”
Really excellent hotel. Only downside was the 15 minute walk to the old town centre although it wasn't unpleasant . Needed two buses from the airport if you weren't prepared to pay for a taxi.
“Excellent Hotel”
We spent three nights here and thought that the hotel was truly excellent. We had a superior room on the 6th floor. The room was large and airy with a great view of the city. The bathroom was a good size and the bath contained a jacuzzi which was good fun. The toiletries were good quality. The whole hotel was very modern and clean. There was free wifi throughout the hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a restaurant which is open in the evening every day except Sunday. We eat there twice and thought that the food good quality and reasonably priced. There was a very good selection of food available for breakfast. The hotel was situated a slow ten minute walk from the edge of the historic part of the city and about twenty minutes walk from the centre of the city. Alternatively there was a bus route into the centre or Reception were very happy to call for a taxi which we found took less than five minutes to arrive. Overall, an excellent hotel which we would happy to recommend and to which we will return on any future visits to Bologna.
“An excellent base for touring Bologna”
It is a good step from Hotel Aemilia into the centre of Bologna but walking along the Via , with its elegant arcades, is in itself a good appetiser. Bologna has a profusion of palazzi and basilicas, not to mention those extraordinary towers, but we also found some wonderful restaurants, each boasting its unique brand of bolognese ragout. Three days and nights passed in a comfortable blur.
“Lovely hotel, just a bit outside centre”
Very good hotel, can't be faulted. It is a good 15 minutes walk outside main centre of Bologna but it is very friendly and clean and a taxi is probably not very expensive if you don't fancy walking all of the time (its very reasonable to get to the airport too). The breakfast is excellent but we didnt use the restaurant or bar. Internet is free so you can check in on line for your flight home and the staff can't do enough to help. All in all a very good stay.
“Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bologna”
It's about 15 minutes walk from the main Piazza...maybe a little longer if you don't walk at the London pace I walk at. However, when you are eating your own body weight in pasta, you might (as we did) enjoy the exercise! This hotel was spotless. The room was spacious with an enormous bed. The staff were absolutely lovely (ask the front desk to recommend a pizza place that the locals go to....we did and had the most amazing pizza ever). The location is quiet...which is a nice break from the hustle and bustle. I seriuosly wouldn't bother checking out a more central hotel. This was perfect.
“Recommended”
Clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Quiet location within easy walking distance of historic city centre and University district. Easy for getting bus back to central railway station and airport bus.
“Modern family and business friendly hotel”
This modern hotel is in a more residential area, but is on a bus route (a quick ride or a 30-40 min walk from the train station). There is a nice cafe on the corner, a grocery store and other amenities within a 5 min walk. The university is a 10-15 min walk and beyond that is the main square. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly to our daughter. After we checked out we had a couple of hours before our train departed. We stored our luggage and went for a walk. When we returned I asked if there was a public restroom I could use to change my daughter. The staff let us back into our room to change the baby. They were also extenely helpful in trying to find us a car service with a car seat (nothing was available so I took the luggage in a taxi and my husband walked my daughter in her stroller to the train station). A highchair was available at breakfast and later at dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is typical, and the breakfast room (which doubles as the restaurant) is spacious.
