“Spring in Berlin”
The staff of this hotel were very kind, easy going sorts. I would certainly return.
“Good base for a short break”
The hotel was clean and tidy and the breakfast buffet good and well presented, but the helpful staff were what really made this hotel stand out for us. We arrived too early to check-in and left the bags at reception - on our return later the bags were in the room and the extra bed already set up for my younger son. Tips for sights to see and public transport were offered. We felt very welcome.
“Great Hotel & Staff”
Wonderful hotel within easy reach of underground transport links. The staff were extremely helpful and well trained. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Worthwhile opting for the breakfast. It kept us going for most of the day. I liked the black & white themed decor. Certainly would go back again.
“amazing budget in berlin”
the hotel is on a great location (close to east and west berlin) and is really a budget compared with other hotels in the city.
“Good hotel”
A simple but comfortable hotel with easy rail links to the main centre of Berlin. Large room was particularly beneficial for us - travelling with a toddler. Good and very varied buffet breakfast. Only disadvantage was the lack of provision for other meals, however Berlin has many quality restaurants so this should not be a barrier to staying here.
“Can't wait to return”
Hotel location was very good; handy for bus and metro route. Staff were very helpful, friendly and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was good value.
“Wunderbar in Berlin”
A perfect location in amazing Berlin. Hotel Lindemanns was brand new when we stayed for a week in a penthouse suite. The decor is understated and contemporary. Rooms are well appointed with black/white/grey furnishings. Our room had two flat screen TVs, a large amoire, and an awesome black slate shower. The penthouse also had a nice shared terrace. I loved this hotel. The staff members were very professional and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous and a good place for a drink or coffee using your 5 Euro voucher. Extremely well located between the S-Bahn and U-Bahn with a bus stop right outside the hotel that brings you to Potsdammer Platz and north to many of the tourist sites. The neighborhood is a mix of small businesses and restaurants and markets. There are a few quirks (perhaps more for American visitors): No bath products. The hotel guide suggests you use liquid soap from the dispenser at the sink (not really practical); you can purchase for a nominal fee or bring your own (we did luckily). There are no irons allowed in the room (fire code) so be prepared to pay for an ironing service or wear wrinkled clothes. WiFi costs 1.5 Euro for an hour or 5 Euro for 24 hours. The service was not good during our stay, but I'm sure this is something they will correct. I thought Hotel Lindemanns was an amazing value and I would definitely stay here again.
“A Really Good Hotel in Berlin”
I stayed at Lindemanns Hotel in the Potsdammer Platz for 3 nights in May 2009 and found it to be excellent. The hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful when I checked in. My room (501)was a "lifestyle" room. Not sure if that makes any difference but it was big and airy with nice black and white decor. The mattress on the bed was beautifully firm and gave me three perfect night's sleep. The bathroom was fine and the shower was really effective with a little area to itself. The room also had a nice flatscreen television (with news channels in English) and plenty of cupboards and hanging space for clothes (much more than I needed.) My room overlooked the main road. So there was a bit of traffic noise at night if I left the window open but if you closed it the air conditioning was fine. Breakfast was also excellent. There was a range of cereals, fruit, cheese, bread, rolls, croissants, jams etc and also hot food in the form of scrambled egg, bacon and boiled eggs. On the day I left the hotel was fine about keeping my case until I went to the airport and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one small point, when I arrived the receptionist wasn`t sure if my breakfasts were included in my booking. So it was useful to haver my Expedia print-out with me.
“A nice surprise”
My partner and I were concluding our three-week trip through Europe with a final week in Berlin. Knowing the area well from previous trips and unable to find a room at any of the "usual spots" we chose Lindemann's fairly blindly from the internet and hoped for the best. We got, if not the best, than the best we could have hoped for. If you can, splurge for the top floor. The suites are lush and minimal at once. The penthouse units have floor to ceiling windows and glass doors that lead to a (shared) terrace. The hotel is situated perfectly between the neighborhoods of Schoeneberg and Kreuzberg; there's nothing around and no real view, but it's very private. Nollendorfplatz is a five minute walk away; KaDaWe, a fifteen minute walk; Potsdamer Platz, will take about 25 minutes by foot. But the S-Bahn and U-Bahn stop a short walk away, so transportation is not an issue. The staff is discreet, but helpful if you need them. There is no room service and no mini-bar, btw. But the Turkish fruit stand on the corner sells water and snacks and also the best peaches I've ever tasted. Our only disappointment was the lobby and reception area which were hard, sharp, dark, and cold. Also, their internet is pay by the day wireless should be free in all hotels). We look forward to staying at Lindemann's again.
“Best hidden secret.”
This little hotel is a gem. Stylish, modern decor. Large airy rooms, fantastic bathroom, close to all tourist areas. Great place.
