“Good hotel in Tierpark”
Hotel service was great, they couldn't be friendlier. However to book the average room and expect it to be four stars is a little far! It's more like three stars, the bedroom comfort wasn't that great! it was very clean though! But you know, the location is awesome. Literally a few minutes from Tierpark UBahn station! I would definitely recommend it, but if you want great views from your window (which wasn't what we wanted!) then you'll be a little disappointed! But the staff and the location well makes up for that! Oh hell, just book it and enjoy Berlin fully! You won't regret it!
“Excellent value for price, location, and quality of service”
This is our second stay at the Abacus - Ok, so it's not plush but it's rooms are soundproof, spacious, clean and very well well cared for, as is the whole hotel. Staff professional, friendly and helpful, breakfast good and plentiful, dinner buffet reasonably priced - food not gourmet but excellent. U-Bahn station just a minute away with frequent trains to centre (about 15 mins)and they run until 1.00 am - Tram stop is just outside the door but it's a suburban route so it goes nowhere in particular - nice ride if you like trams though! Definitely will go back - definitely recommend it - not a bad trip by public transport from either Tegel or Schonefeld.
“Inexpensive in Berlin, but be Prepared”
This hotel has appealing charm since the room is cozy, mini bar is very inexpensive (Only 0.50 Euro cents for a drink!), and the bathroom is large for European standards. There is a restaurant and McDonald's nearby (~200m) and a large grocery store one building over. The foliage in the area is nice when you're escaping the city as well. The area is quiet as well and the hotel restaurant is nice. The only issues we encountered included the signage and New Year's festivities. If you don't have a car, you get off the U-Bahn at Tierpark and walk about 300m. However, there is only one hidden sign in the terminal underground giving you a direction. A little more signage would have definitely helped (especially in the Winter!). Just look for McDonald's across the street, cross (unless you come out on that side already from underground), and walk to the right about 250m. It's there past the grocery store. With our visit on New Year's, the hotel's restaurant was booked and no one was open in the area for dinner - including McDonald's after 6PM! We basically had to do the trail mix thing and mini-bar drinks for the evening. Luckily we had some champagne purchased earlier in the day. Beyond these issues, it was a great stay and we'd recommend it to other travelers. English is spoken well and the hotel staff are very courteous. Old style keys though which can be a nuisance.
“"I'll be back"”
The hotel was extremely clean, the employees were very polite, and every time no matter how late we went out, we came back to a clean room. The restaurant in the hotel was very elegant and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay at the abacus very much and recommend the hotel and especially the studio room to anyone.
“Good Hotel in Berlin”
Very close to the Metro station, reasonable large room and delicious breakfast. One unsatisfied point was that I couldn't use internet in my room.
“Abacus Tierpark”
Incredibly helpful service, very clean, comfortable rooms. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Only drawback was location, but it was actually about 400m from U bahn and 100m from tram, so easy enough to get to more central areas. Would definately recommend this hotel
“Abacus Tier Park Hotel”
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
“Great Room Space”
It was very roomy, like one bed room apartment, with no wall to separate a bed room. Wi-fi charges from T-Mobile were terrible: 8 Euros for 1 hr!! Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. One morning some hotel lady barged right in our room using her own key after only one knock on the door to "check" if the minibar needed re-stocking. It seemed a bit rude.
“East Side Berlin Hotel”
Nice hotel. It is not close to downtown area but close to public transportation. Breakfast was more than I expected.
“Super Ratio Price / Quality”
It was very fine Hotel, with comfortable rooms. Its not luxury, but very clean and price ration vs. quality absolutely perfect. U can buy exclusive breakfast only for € 11 / person (recommend) and the Hotel is not so far from City Centre. Its 15 minutes by U5 Bahn to Alexanderplatz.
