Chambres d'hôtes de charme La Gabarie
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, 39 reviews
"Our Hosts were wonderful, great bonhomie, offering a superb breakfast and conversation. The double room, which is reached via its own outside door, was clean and comfortable, the bathroom a good size and the shower powerful and controllable across the full temperature range. The pool was clean and well maintained. The room had air conditioning, good wifi, but was decorated in a charming arts & craft style with plenty of object d'art and pictures rather than the bare walls of a hotel. Outside...

"Beautiful house full of art & deco features, lovingly curated by the proprietors. The bedrooms are full of character, the secluded garden with separate villa, swimming pool and hot tub all add to the relaxing vibe. The hosts are exceptional, providing fantastic breakfasts and always ready to help - we can’t thank them enough, it was a real privilege to stay here. The location is great too - an easy walk through the old town to the riverside with everything close by. We will return! "

"Our hosts could not have been nicer or more charming! The breakfast was truly stunning each day as well. We loved Jungle, the welcome dog on site too! One thing to know is the bathtub/shower is uniquely French (a beautiful whirlpool tub with hand sprayer but no shower stall). It is very common in Europe, but good to know! 😜 We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!"

"This was a fabulous choice as a stop over on our Dordogne adventure. Chris was there to welcome us and show us around the property, and even though we were a little early he invited us in to enjoy the facilities. The room was quaint with lovely French decor, with all the modern facilities added to our experience. Great Wifi, air conditioning & a large shower were all a great bonus. As well as the fresh bed linen on the huge bed. The breakfast was beautifully laid out on the terrace for us, which...

"For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return. Claire s' house in medieval village near river Dordogne with your pets

"We realized within one hour, that there was no way we could stay in this tiny mouse house. My husband’s allergies kicked in within minutes, and he became completely congested. We called, texted and emailed Ann, the property manager, repeatedly, starting one hour after arriving, and continually for four days without response, saying that we wanted to give the keys back, so we could go home or move on, making clear that we did not expect a refund of the rental fee. After more than 15 attempts to...
