“Beijing's best kept secret”
The Emperor hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel in an incredible location with lots of added extras...free bike hire, free mini bar treats, free internet. Aside from one mildly rude reception staff member, the staff were wonderful. Comfortable, modern, clean and in a location that is unsurpassable, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Our stay was fabulous.
“Great hotel”
One of the best hotel I stayed. Very central, right next to the forbidden City, clean, friendly staff, very well maintain and equipped for the travellers. The only complaint is the minibar is not warm but it is not an issue for us. You also have gto like modern deco.
“IQuiet location on beautiful tree lined old street..”
Interesting decor, quiet location on beautiful old street within walking distance to major sites. Internet access limited. Great bar on the roof overlooking the Forbidden City.
“funky, great location, recommended”
The hotel was very clean for Chinese standards, some build issues, water leakage, etc, but for the price it's fantastic. The location cannot be beat, you can walk to the forbidden city, coal hill park, etc. There is a fantastic duck restaurant just up the alley as well. The hotel rooms are super cool, the funkiest hotel I've stayed at. The service was very good. The staff speak english, which is nice since most Beijinger's dont. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families as the shower is situated in the middle of the room with frosted windows for privacy. However for young couples, it's a very nice, very sexy hotel to stay at. The bar is also very very cool. This place is very stylish
“futuristic designer hotel”
very close to the sights but hard to find at the first time. very good service and nice amenities.
