The property was excellent in every way. It was clean and neat and up to date. Had awesome views over an elevated deck with your own private little outdoor table and chairs. It is very close to town. The staff were so accommodating and friendly and really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Always smiling and being just lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend this property and I would stay here again if I visit Beechworth in the future. Happy Travellor

First time in Beechworth and we had a lovely stay at Golden Heritage. Sits in a quiet part of the town with an easy parking and a locked bike storage. Property seems to have been well maintained with care. Our room was very clean and spacious (Executive King Room) with a lovely view for sunset. Good stock of minibar items as well as capsule coffee machine which made tasty black coffee. Room had a pretty big TV with netflix/stan etc. and there's a ceiling fan as well as A/C, and electric blanket too for whatever season! Jo was very friendly and gave us some recommendations in the area as well. Overall a lovely, warm, and comfortable stay. :)

Was advertised as a pet friendly. When we got there they informed us they were not. Had to try & find alternate accommodation at 6pm after a really long drive from northern NSW.. Not at all impressed!!!

Great place to stay my only concern was not being sure which way was suitable to enter the room. Make for an uncomfortable walk as it was not clear and seeing personal belongings making you believe you shouldn’t be in that area. Minor thing still 5/5 and would return. Thanks for having us

Lovely property highly recommend for a stay. Staff were lovely and motel section we stayed in was lovely clean and welcoming loved the warm room upon arrival considering it was only 9c outside

From our room (8) there is access to a verandah overlooking the valley/gorge at the back of Beechworth. There were ducks on the pond and rosellas in the tree. High spec finish to the rooms and great space, can even look through picture window to verandah and beyond.

Great place to stay that we chose mainly because of its close location to the town center (and an Expedia voucher certianly helped!). We would certainly stay here again if we are in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and despite being on the main road, the room was very quiet.

We had a mid-week mini break in Beechworth and the motel was a great place to base ourselves. Excellent walks through the scenic Beechworth historic area and gorge right at your doorstep and Billson’s not far away. Also a great place for those with a Tesla (we had hired one) as they have 2 chargers which they can reserve for your use. Highly recommended.

This appears to be an older property. but wow. how clean . great work to by the owners and staff. we would stay here again. ( note ..there was one guest who was extremely noisy on our last night. hope they take a long hard look at themselves ) highly reccomend staying here.

Disappointing given absence of any service
Big plus points were the friendliness of the owners,the quality of the breakfasts and the general cleanliness of the motel. However, there was simply no service, as we were told there would be no servicing of the room. If we wanted the rubbish bins cleared, we were to leave the make up my room sign and they would be. We couldn’t find anyone to speak to on the morning concerned and left the sign on our door. The bins were never cleared-we did it ourselves. We also needed to make out a breakfast order when we arrived, but had no order form in our room. When we asked for a form from the office, we were told by a young girl that there was a form in our room and, essentially, just look for it. However the intervention of Jo, the owner, quickly provided Some copies in a very friendly manner. I’m unsure if complete withdrawal of service was a directive from the Victorian government, but it certainly doesn’t encourage interstate travellers like us travelling long distances to help boost long suffering Victorian businesses out of COVID lockdown. Across the border in Corowa, NSW, we experienced no such problems!

Thanks for your feedback Ian, we and many other properties are currently not servicing rooms as was explained during check-in, as part of our Covid Safe Plan. This plan is to ensure that a staff member doesn't contract Covid from a Guest while servicing their room and spread it throughout the property and to other guests staying. This plan has been audited by Vic Health and any property not following this guideline isn't providing you with a safe place to stay. The property is on 4 acres and upon entering reception our mobile phones ring to alert us someone requires assistance. The same applies to dialing 9 from the phone around the property. We are there 24 hours a day 7 days a week to make our guest stays as comfortable as possible.
