“An excellent hotel”
We love this hotel! Isabel (the owner) and her staff were extremely accommodating and nice. Large rooms, a great floor plan and a 3 minute walk to the nearest Metro station make this hotel an excellent choice. Within a five-minute walk are 2 parks and a grocery store. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The hotel is a good value.
“Urban Suites is great for families.”
We had a fairly long stay at the Urban Suites, nine nights. I hadn't stayed at an apart-hotel before and didn't know what to expect. This is a very well run operation with excellent, personal service. The room is very large, there were four of us, my husband and I had a private bedroom and our teenage daughters shared the king-sized sofa bed, which they said was very comfortable. My first impression of the area was that it was too residential, but that changed as I got to know my way around. Olympic village is very close, I jogged there every day. The train stations, both the metro and the central station are very easy walks. There is a really nice shopping mall about two blocks away, with an amazing view up-top. Plenty of restaurants and a really nice market on the weekends. The first thing the staff did when we arrived was warn us about pick-pockets, which we should have paid attention to, two days later my husband had his wallet taken on the train. We talked to the staff, they offered to go to the police station with us, offer to go to the tourist bureau with us, were generally very helpful, more so then I would have ever expected. The staff was very informative about were to go and what to do. Gave sound recommendation and in general was accommodating and hospitable. The room is not extravagant, the furnishings are from Ikea or some place similar, but everything was new and well functioning. Great for families.
“Great value, comfort and location”
The staff is extremely friendly. You really feel welcome here. The location is very convenient to the train from the airport-the train station is only three stops from the airport and it only takes about five minutes to walk from the suites to the train station. There is a supermarket three minutes away. Placa Espana is only ten minutes or less away by foot and there are many restaurants and a mall there. I highly recommend the Urban Suites.
