“not a bad option”
Basic hotel, but clean and quiet. Staff were helpful. Can't say i was bothered by having a small TV as i wasn't there to watch it! Breakfast served until 11am each day, with a good selection of fresh pastries and fruit. Good selection of local ammenities and a short walk to the transport links to the centre of the city. Would definately stay there again.
“The hotel is in a very convenient location (Near Línea 5, Hospital Clínico stop).”
The hotel is in a very convenient location (Near Línea 5, Hospital Clínico stop). The rooms are tiny, but everything was very clean, so it was perfect for me. I usually do not need any other hotel services, so I can't comment on them. My only complaint is that the wireless had very weak coverage, so I had a hard time completing my work online.
“very good”
The shower doors was bit destroyed, but everything else was very good. I would recommend this hotel for everyone, who can't afford more expensive places. There is metro station one minute away from hotel traveling by foot. And places for eat like restaurants are near.
“Good hotel”
Good hotel clean and modern. Good location (a bit far out but really near the metro) near supermarket.
“Sunotel Junior Barcelona”
the room was a bit chilly. The control for the heater in the room was programmed to not go beyond a certain degree. It was winter time, it was slightly uncomfortably chilly in the room. The room was small, but it was not suppose to be a luxury hotel, so it was understandable. Overall, it was ok, except for the temperature in the room.
“Good deal for money”
Staff was courteous, room was clean. While not in the old city, the hotel is one block from a hospital train stop, making it easy to go anywhere. Being a bit off the beaten track also made it cheaper than hotels further south. Area seemed safe at night for a woman traveling alone. The C-store across the street was also convenient. My only complaint is that w/the windows open, the street below could become very noisy. There was a soccer parade one night and, in general, lots of motorcycle traffic.
“Overall this hotel is good value for money, and conveniently located for all Barcelona's facilities.”
I had a nice room with a good double bed and excellent bathroom facilities, which were serviced every day. The only reservation is that the hotel is on a very busy main road, and, with no double glazing in the room, the traffic noise was definitely a problem, starting early in the morning and going on until late at night. And with the thousands of very noisy scooters in Barcelona, I found this to be a definite minus, which would make me go for a hotel on a quieter street next time.
“A nice value”
The hotel was a little bit away from the main central area and tourist sites, they were easily accessible by mass transit, taxi, or 25 min walk. The neighbor hood was nice with several nice restaurants that catered more to locals than tourists. That was a nice benefit (also cheaper). The staff was very helpful and exceptionally friendly. I would definitely stay there again!
“Barcelona - May 2011”
The hotel is located 3 blocks from the nearest metro stop (Hospital Clinic), which is very convenient. It is on a busy road, and you hear a lot of traffic noise in your room (even on the 5th floor!). The room is quite comfortable and not too small, but I had to ask reception to have the aircon turned on the first day. Luggage storage is available, but since they send you downstairs with a key to the store room I am not sure it is that secure. The room does not have a safe storage box, and the door does not have a double-locking feature. Walls very thin, and you hear your neighbours clearly. Across the road is a fillng station with a shop, where you can buy water and cold-drinks. Around the corner is a Pans & Company which has great take-away food. I would recommend the hotel to other travellers who need a room for sleeping in at night, not for spending time in during the day. The pool and jacuzzi were still closed for maintenance.
“A good experience”
Love Barcelona. Hotel staff, particularly night staff, were all very helpful and accomodating, went out of their way to be pleasant including helping out during disruptions due to the volcano and the airport getting closed.
