“Excellent hotel in a quiet area”

Within walking distance of the metro and close to the airport bus stops. The rooms are huge and the bathtub was great after a long day of site seeing. WiFi was pretty quick and the staff were wonderful. The hotel is very funky but has many design issues. Water leaks everywhere when taking a shower, the toilet is dark, shaving is difficult since lighting is poor and creates shadows.

“Excellent Hotel”

Stayed here for three nights recently on holidays. The hotel was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very modern and clean. It had a great vibe to it. The breakfest was great to - these people really believe in good presentation! Hard to find something better for the price.

“Modern hotel, very comfortable”

Loved the hotel. Very modern and clean. The staff was wonderful. The only problem I had was that they had spring mattresses and that was uncomfortable if you stayed for more than 2 nights.

“Very modern hotel.”

The hotel design is very modern, I enjoyed it very much but can see that not everyone would enjoy. The bathroom walls are made of glass and can see that not everyone would be comfortable with that. There is a mini blind between glass so you will have privacy when taking a shower.

Area recommendations
The Rambla area is where the tourist go but we did a 2 day bus hop-on-hop off. Enjoyed the Dali/Picasso/Miro museums as well.

“Naif”

It was very great the staff very friendly and the location was very very good with very close metro station . but the only thing that I didn't like is the sound proofing for the street view rooms was not so good .

“Nice hotel, mediocre staff, lockup you belongings”

Soho Hotel is in a great part of Barcelona, close to most tourist attractions, and only a block or two from the subway. The hotel itself is very modern with nicely appointed, clean rooms (the pictures are true). The staff is the only bad part. The staff was not very friendly and seemed more interested in working behind the counter than talking with a guest. At approximately 10PM, while getting ready for dinner (dinner is late in Spain), I requested an ironing board and iron and was told "now is not the time". The next day, after returning to our locked room from a day of site seeing, we noticed an article of my wife's clothing was missing. Upon notifying the front desk, we were told the staff does not need to steal. They told us they would contact us if they found the article of clothing. We have not heard from them since.

Traveller's tip
Stay off the La Rambla and try a side street for dinner, the restaurants are nicer and the food is priced more appropriately.

“Perfect Boutique Hotel in Barcelona”

We stayed at the Soho Hotel last week and it was terrific. The hotel is stylish and immaculate and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are two computers available in the downstairs lounge area, and we appreciated being able to check our e-mail and various travel confirmations so easily. We had a superior double room, which was very comfortable. We were at the back, overlooking a park. Aside from a little basketball-playing in the late afternoon (and the understandable celebration when Barca won their important soccer match), it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was included with our rate, and it was quite good and also very attractively served. The hotel is conveniently located one block from the Urgell metro stop and just an 8-10 minute walk from Universidad and Catalunya squares. We actually ended up just walking to most sights- Nothing was more than an hour walk and it was fun to explore the city that way. The blue airport bus has a stop at Urgell, and it was great to be able to step out from the terminal and find our way so easily and inexpensively.

“Excellent service for the price”

Centrally located (metro stop in front of the hotel and ~10 minute walk to Passeig de Gracia/Las Ramblas, ~15 to Placa de Cataluyna. Staff was extremely helpful and at least 5-lingual (English, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, French that I heard). Room is European-small but extremely comfortable, well-appointed and well maintained. Free wi-fi and awesome rooftop terrace/pool (NOT heated). Would highly recommend.

Traveller's tip
La Valenciana is by far the best gelato we've ever had. ~5 blocks from the hotel.
