“OK for short stay”
Conveniently located (200m from subway, 400m to harbour) with plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Room was OK for one night, but not for several days. Small window into tiny court yard, could possibly be noisy if neighbours speak up ...
“Nice hotel, great location.”
Rialto is a nice small hotel very close to La Rambla. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic in the evening hours, going on until 2-3 AM, but the soundproofing is good. Rooms are small by American standards but reasonable by European. Our room had good size bathroom with a bathtab and shower. Our friends in the same hotel were less lucky with a very small bathroom, where the toilet was jammed very close to the sink. The biggest disappointment was the lack of Wi-Fi, despite the fact that it was mentioned in the hotel description. Do not pre-pay for the buffet breakfast which is plentiful but overpriced. Any local cafe can offer the same or more for the half the price.
“Will go back”
The hotel was well maintained. The hallway was narrow and dark...until the automatic lights turn on. The water pressure occasionally gets low. The glass cover of the shower covers only half of the stall. But overall, our hotel stay was good. It is right smack in the center of fun.
“Great place in Barcelonia”
We found this hotel clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would stay here on our next visit.
“Will stay again at Rialto”
I liked the room, bathroom was super clean, good service, very friendly and helpful staff. The food wasn't excellent but there's so many nearby restaurants so that wasn't a problem. Very convenient location 3 minutes away from Las Ramblas, 15 minutes walk from the port, and the nearby metro station makes it very convenient to move around in Barcelona.
“Great loction and very nice hotel”
Excellent location for visiting touristic attractions. It's a little bit far if you wanna go to the beach, but the subway station is not far away; just five blocks. Rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms are clean and lately renovated. The only concern is that after 11 pm the area is crowded with drug dealers and heavy-party people. If you are not young enough or not accostumed to this, do not stay near the Ramblas or on the Gothic neighborhood.
“Perfect Location”
Great location, nice staff, quite room, but no window.
“DO NOT STAY!”
Location is great without question. But there are so many hotels in the area with the area being so large it is hard to pick a badly located hotel. The hotel from the front is very nice. Inside is a whole another story. We did not want to stay in the room to even rest if at all possible. The hall ways had the lights off till you were walking literally under the light which would turn on as you made your way down the darkness. It felt dirty, danky, and just plain not nice. Would not stay here again without trying another hotel even if it costed more. On top of it all I get some strange charge at the end of the stay that is still unexplainable since we did not do anything in there but sleep.
“I would stay there again”
Great location. Clean, comfortable room, charming courtyard. On the downside, they charge a fortune for internet access on the lobby computer, and the breakfast buffet is pricey. A continental breakfast included in the room price and free internet access would have made the hotel perfect.
“Nice little hotel”
Amenities were fine: the AC was cold, the shower was hot, in room hair dryer worked great. Location is superb and in the heart of the sightseeing area. Stayed for one night before a cruise. Only complaint was that on our return from the cruise we booked another night here before we fly home and the moved us to another hotel. The Hotel Gotico (what a dump!). The Gotico was rated 4 stars and the Rialto was 3 stars - this is backwards! Rialto was way nicer that Gotico. Stay at Rialto you will be satisfied (as long as they dont move you)

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
