Beds have white cotton sheets and pillows and blue bedspreads. Because of the protected status of the building, rooms vary in shape, size, and some features. Rooms on the first floor have marble floors, while all the others have wooden floorboards. Some rooms have balconies. Rooms on the fourth floor have skylights and small floor level windows. “Rooms look nothing like the pics, terrible service.”

I was extremely upset with my stay at this hotel. The rooms were nothing like the pictures and ours didnt even have a window, only a small opening on top of the floor and a skylight. I was told there were no other rooms available and the pics advertised were for their suite. In addition to this the key card didnt work for our room and we had to go downstars 5 times and wait over 1 hour before we could get back into our room since the grossly inept staff couldnt fix it. I live in a 3rd world country and have experienced bad service before, but this place is in a league of its own. There are many hotels in Las Ramblas and I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.

“Erica”

This is a great hotel in an excllent location. It is super close to the cathedral and the Espanya Metro stop, and within walking to most of Barcelona's sites. There are also lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Make sure that you are not booking a "petite" room because it is really tiny, apparantly. We overheard several guests complaining about this room at the front desk. The breakfast was very good but overpriced. Just across the street and down a little is a bakery with great coffee and breakfast items. Free coffee and cava are available in the lobby in the afternoons and evenings. The rooms are very clean and free wi-fi is available in the rooms but it was sometimes very slow. Great hotel! We would stay here again.

“great weekend”

the hotel is located on a small side street in the barri gothic section. the location was perfect a starting point for everything my wife and I wanted to visit. the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. whatever we needed which was little they helped us with from diirections to calling for a taxi. they offer a nice breakfeast buffet. this was the first time we stayed with an H10 property and we would definetly stay with another one. our stay at the Raco del Pi made our visit to Barcelona that much better.

Area recommendations

this property was located in the barri gothic section of old town barcelona. it was in walking distance to the metro or even to just walk around. would stay in this area again.

“Great hotel. Great location.”

We loved staying at the H10 Raco Del Pi. it was a well kept, clean hotel in a great location - a short walk to and from Las Ramblas. My only complaint is that the beds are not terribly comfortable and the rooms were warm. A couple of nights, it was pretty noisy outside, so we had to sleep with the windows closed. But other than that, it was an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

I would definitely recommend staying in the Bari Gothic area of Barcelona. It's the older section of Barcelona with lots of history, shopping, cafes, and bars. The Las Ramblas offered a lot of entertainment with a variety of street vendors, artists, and entertainment. Be careful of pick pockets, however. If I get a chance to visit Barcelona again, I would definitely stay in this neighborhood and stay at the H10 Raco Del Pi.

“quiet friendly location”

What a great hotel. Everyone was so helpful. The outdoor patio was fun weather it was our party of 4 or when other guests asked us to join thier group. Really fun meeting people from all over the world. The only problem we had was the taxi did not know the exact location of the hotel.

“Barcelona is an interesting, beautiful city. Fantastic architecture. Great Hotel.”

Barcelona is a city of many facets. Beautiful architecture, great city to do a walking tour. Visit Monsterrat if possible - 1 hour from city. Absolutely beautiful and serene. Magnificent scenery. Barcelona was quite a surprise and not what I had visualised - much more than expected. A must is a visit to all the Gaudi exhibits. The fountain in the park is absolutely beautiful as is the church. Would definately love to go back to Barcelona - there is a lot to see. My adult son travelled with me and was very impressed with Barcelona - found bars, clubs and the locals very friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations

La Rambla, Monsterrat, Harbour and shopping areas. All Gaudi exhibits.

“Location was great!”

We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel. The location was excellent for shopping, eating and walking through Old Town. Metro service just a short walk from hotel. Very convenient. The staff was helpful, friendly and very good at their jobs. Plus we loved the champagne on check-in and the snacks available at the reservation desk every day.

Area recommendations

Barri Gotic--for great shopping and people watching La Ribera--Picasso Museum and some great restaurants L'Eixample--Great architecture: Block of Discord, Sagrada Familia, etc.

Must see

Antonio Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum and walking down La Ramblas.

“Barcelona's little gem”

This hotel has a great location with a lovely staff. They are knowledgeable about the city and can answer all your questions. The hotel offers champange in the lobby throughout the day. What could be better than returning to your hotel after hours of walking the city and being handed a glass of the bubbly! We did not opt for the hotel breakfast, instead ate at the pastry shop just moments from our door, so we can't comment on the food. Cathedral Barcelona sits just a block away and the open air market on La Rambla is a five minute walk. Shops surround the hotel and the area is clean, lively and pleasant. Buses and the metro are both easily found on La Rambla. There are not many places that you would need to taxi to, most all of Barcelona can be seen on foot or a short ride away on the metro. We were extremely pleased with this hoteland it's staff and would recommmend highly. Our room was very small, an upgrade was available, but we spend little time in our room, so we stayed with our orginal room which was adequate. Rooms were clean and quickly made up. Free WiFi was available to all guests. Barcelona is a lovely city and we enjoyed everything about our stay.

Area recommendations

We enjoyed the Barri Gotic, walking La Rambla, the harbor area and both the Segrada Familia and Park Guell areas.

“Great location”

This hotel is centrally located, right off of the main street (Las Ramblas). The room was clean and functional, and the staff was very helpful.

Barre Gotic (Gothic Quarter) - this is where many of the restaurants, shops and attractions are located.

“Briliant location, good facilities and lovely breakfast options.”

I stayed here on my initial arrival in Spain, and a few days before departure at the end of my trip. The location was excellent, good for access to the metro, La Rambla, markets, everything really. The rooms are not massive, but they are modern and clean. The bathrooms were great, water pressure and hot water all ok. My only two small concerns were that the flooring throughout the hotel is very noisy, and the lift is a little prone to breaking down. Having said that, the helpful man on reception took my case up to the fourth floor for me when the lift was broken down. It took less than 24hrs for it to be serviced and back in order. I am a light sleeper, and always have ear plugs with me - but the floors are very noisy and you can hear everyone coming and going at all hours. In my experience across spain, I'm not sure this is avoidable unless you go to a very high end hotel however. I had a good experience, and would not hesitate to return or recommend the hotel to anyone who is holidaying and out all day sightseeing and seeks a safe, clean & modern hotel to sleep in.

Area recommendations

Barrio Gotic lends itself to a lot of exploring, shopping and finding lovely little tapa bars. I am a big fan of fresh food markets, and spent a lot of time enjoying the sights and food at La Boqueria. Its a great base being so close to the metro, you can get out and about to wherever you wish.

Outdoors or beach

On a sunny day, it is also lovely to head up to Montjuic for panoramic views of the port and the city. There area variety of fantastic gardens to wander through on your way back down the hill.
