“We loved Barcelona”
This hotel is rated as 4 star? The location was very convenient and our room was newish, nicely designed and comfortable, but the sheets were never changed during our entire stay of six nights and one of the pillow cases was not fresh to start with. There was no tissue paper except a tiny welcome pack – we had to buy our own. The front desk was friendly but they gave us the wrong terminal to go to for our departure. Luckily, we had time to get to the right terminal on time.
“Great hotel in a great location. Very near to the city center and yet not so crowded or noisy.”
Very near to the city center and yet not so crowded or noisy. Stuff was very helpfull, rooms are clean and comfortable.
“Will stay there again”
Spacious room, good quality breakfast, perfect location to see BCN
“Cassanova by Rafael Hotel”
Loved the hotel; sophisticated, comfortable, clean, great bar, the people at the bar were great, amazing breakfast, amazing beds and showers, great location. They include a tone of toiletry, blankets, extra pillows, iron board and safe box. No coffee maker in the room thanks god! you can go an have your coffee downstairs with everyone or out in one of the very many cafes The only things is that front desk did not deliver my messages all the time and missed on a couple of appointments. No bid deal as I received many calls a day. Jesus was a great staff member.
“Satisfied”
The experience was verry good. The neigborhood was clean as well as the Hotel. The location of the Hotel was excelent allowing us to walk to key locations while excercising.
“Great location!”
What a great location! The hotel is on a major street but still far enough away from the tourist attractions. The metro is one block away and can be easily taken to any of the other metro line connections. Just a stop or two for most major attractions. About a seven block walk to two major Placa's. On Casanova street just a few doors down from the hotel, we were able to find a cute little restaurant where you can pick up food to take back to your hotel after a long day of walking in sun. Our room had a balcony that faced the main street and was exciting to wake up to every morning! Staff was great and hotel was very clean! The only negative was that our queen bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. They room may have been pretty but it was a little annoying to spend three nights trying not to fall in the middle. travelers tip: Backpacks are very common so if you are planning a day of sight seeing, pack snacks from neighborhood supermarkets to avoid some of the tourist prices for lunch. Then treat yourself to local dining for dinner!
“Nice Hotel Located in the Eixample Neighborhood”
I stayed in the the hotel the weekend of the World Cup Finals where Spain defeated the Netherlands. The hotel set up a TV projector in the lobby bar and guests were allowed to watch the entire game in the comfort of the bar lounge. The hotel is quite nice and modern. I would definitely go back again.
“Casanova, let me count the ways”
The hotel was very accommodating for the 2 nights and 3 days I was in Barcelona. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, but close enough to walk to or use public transportation to get to and from locations of interest. The restaurant in the hotel has some extremely tasty tapas dishes. They have a great Chilaquiles dish with a fried egg on top that very tasty. I didn't mind not having much of a view from the apartment but you get what you pay for. The only problem I had was with the the Shower / Tub area. It was sealed off from the rest of the bathroom with a glass panel and door. However, the sealing on the door was done properly and it would leak out into the rest of the bathroom. I had to use three of my towels to keep it from getting too bad. All in all, they provided me with a great place to stay for the money that I spent to be there.
“Excellent and affordable hotel in Barcelona”
This hotel was stylish, clean, and very affordable. The location was very good, close to the major sites and close to a metro stop. There was a very good cafe across the street for coffee. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Chic hotel close to all the sites”
We arrived very delayed to the Hotel due to the snowstorms in the US and Europe (air travel was a nightmare). The Hotel was very accomodating and allowed us to cancel the prior night (since the storms caused the airlines to cancelled our flights). When we arrived, the hotel allowed us to check in early, which was not required. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service they gave due to our situation with the storms. The room was very nice and quite posh. It appeared to have been renovated recently. It was a chic design with artsy (and minimilist) furniture. The bathroom was very sleek and had a nice quality to it. The only negative I can say about the room is that the shower appears to be more decorative and less functional. The shower door is a partial glass door that doesn't block water very well. Also the shower head is an artistic design that splashed water everywhere at first. The first shower ended up with water all over the floor. This was a little disconcerting. Otherwise, the room was great. The views of the downtown were nice (from the small balcony). The hotel was central to most of the sites and we walked to all the major touristy landmarks in downtown Barcelona from the room. I would recommend this hotel to travellers.
