We enjoyed our stay at H LA Poloma Location is very good walking distance to old town, roughly 20mins. Room was cleaned every day. We were very happy with the bed, big bed nice and comfortable, good sleep. Could be improved with kettle and small fridge, we brought kettle with us, for coffee in the morning. Shower and bath good size very good No view or balcony, but not spending a lot of time in room. Staff was very helpful with answering all our questions expecially JB and Karla

It's a great hotel if you need a place to crash. Ladies, be mindful of the building side entrance. The neighborhood can be a bit sketchy.

I (42-F) stayed here alone while traveling for a week. Staff spoke many languages and was friendly - offered me my room nearly right off the plane - I paid the hourly but the bath alone was worth it. Room came with large bath tub that I did not expect. Housekeeping was friendly and accommodating. A small team runs the whole place and appears to do a good job with keeping up with guest needs. Area outside is noisy but since it's seen as "sketchy" there's less traffic than other places, and it calms down at night. The area outside is narrow and dirty and the hotel can be hard to find at first. Your cab may not want to drive you all the way there - but I never felt unsafe around the hotel. I lost like 6 keys and they never gave me crap for that. I got the room in the picture with the two pictures above the headboard and that mattress was lumpy and overused. I only heard sex once. The room was too small for 2 people to stay as long as I did but by myself, it was perfect. I would recommend this place for any travel-savvy singles or couples looking for a plain, cheap, private, safe place to hole up in Barcelona.

This hotel was on a quiet side street, very basic and clean. It was only $111.00 per night. Could walk to restaurants. Has an elevator. Staff very polite and helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights before a cruise. Cruise port about 15 mins away in a cab.

The hotel was at a good location proximity wise but the environment was a bit dirty. We enjoyed our stay there although no fridge in the room and just basic tooth brush. The bathing gel was empty and we had to ask for a fill after 2 days. The room was great for the price and cleaned daily. They let us check in earlier which was great. Overall i do not regret booking the hotel

Honestly, one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
I wasn't 100% certain what to expect when reading some of the previous reviews. But when we arrived the staff were so polite and welcoming. The "Small Room" was huge, clean and cold from the aircon (exactly what we like). The bath was huge aswell, which was a bonus. Each morning we were greeted by the desk staff. Our room was cleaned every day and new towels were left. On the one day we were in the room during cleaning time, they gave us a call asking if we wanted the room cleaned or new towels or anything, which I thought was really attentive. They even provided cutlery for an uber eats we ordered one night. We felt as though the hotel was safe and secure and we were very happy with our stay. On our last day, they held our bags for us for a few hours after we had to check out without any issues. I would stay in this hotel a million times again. Thank you H La Paloma for welcoming us. Just a reminder that it's about a 30 minute walk from most things but thats not a hotel issue - public transport and taxis work well in Barcelona!

AVOID THIS HOTEL! Reception let strangers in
Terrible experience AVOID this hotel. They let people in the rooms without checking and due to this some belongings got stolen. Really unprofessional reception Staff, never encountered such an unprofessional level in 20 years of traveling.

This was a great stay in a great location in Barcelona, and near the metro. The streets getting there and parking are very tight/small, so just be careful if you're driving and hopefully you have a car on the smaller side. We were surprised at how lovely our room was with some nice touches.

Fantastic rates, fantastic location with parking
This hotel offers really great rates and it is in central Barcelona with parking in the building. You don't feel like you should be driving down the narrow streets to get there but there is no alternative. The room was clean and daily maid service is undertaken. there is no food provision but your only a few strides away from cafes and bars. the young man on reception was really good and spoke excellent English. I would definitely return.

Not bad and good price for Barcelona
Checkin was great, very helpful and valet parking. Room not bad but a little on the small side. No here to store suitcases. No bar or restaurant but they do offer room service for drinks. Only issue we had was one night the main door was locked and we had to ring the bell and wait for a good 5 minutes to be let into the building.

We did not stay there as it had a terrible smell in the lobby and the room. Also the area did not feel safe. It was very dirty and run down - not at all what was represented on Expedia. I would definitely not recommend this property. And to make matters worse we had to pay for the first night without staying there! And we had to pay a considerable amount for the place we finally did stay.

would def stay elsewhere next time
First time in Barcelona. The bed was comfy and staff was mostly friendly. Issues were with the wetness in the room - moisture when you took a shower and the constant loudness of other hotel guests - frequent loud moaning, sounds, etc.

Not what I expected
Staff was excellent and I want to thank them for everything. This is definitely not a hotel this is a Hostal. The room was very run down and when you turned the air conditioning on it smelled like cigarettes. The lighting in the room is terrible and there are speakers above the bed. I felt very uncomfortable staying here. I wish I would’ve booked a different hotel.

The hotel is run down quite a lot for the amount of money per night it was not worth it. The area it is in is not a very pleasant area I would not go back there

La Paloma is an amazing hotel and a great staff!
La Paloma Love Hotel went out of their way to honor a reservation when my girlfriend was laid up in the hospital with severe appendicitis and a stomach infection that was a potentially threatening issue. She spent 5 days in the hospital and we missed our reservation. She's OK now and we are back at La Paloma who allowed us to move our reservation. Throw in the fact that the rooms are beautiful and super classy and that the hotel is located in the best area of Barcelona right near major restaurants, and this hotel is a 10 out of 10! This was our second time at this hotel and will not be our last! We just walked over to the University of Barcelona and the Plaza de Catalunya which is only a few minutes away. Finally, La Paloma has parking which allowed us to drive our rental car from France and take our luggage right up to our room. For a hotel in the middle of Barcelona, it's incredible they can offer parking for tourists. Overall, this hotel is 10 stars! Thank you La Paloma.

All was good. Very good place. Helpful and nice staff. Comfortable bed. The view from the window was to the courtyard, so it was not nice.

Fabulous hotel stay
Absolutely beautiful hotel room. Spotlessly clean, lovely dark curtains and very comfy bed. The guy at reception was really helpful - assisted us into the car park and was really obliging by letting us check in a bit early as we arrived before check in time. Really nice guy and a great hotel- probably one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve travelled all over Europe and many parts of the USA. Highly recommend
