“Fantastic experience!”

during our 2 month travel through Europe this is the best hotel we have stayed in, located right next to the train station which is what we were after. It is not in the city centre but its a short train ride into the city. The rooms are beautiful, spacious with a nice view of the city.. staff are extremely helpful and very friendly, they were always approachable. Pool and spa are very nice, at an extra charge but its worth it. Breakfast is on the top floor with beautiful views and a vast variety of foods to choose from. Highly recommend this hotel, it was fantastic!

Area recommendations

La RAmbla, where all the action is We took a hot air balloon ride over the country side, was beautiful and would recommend that too

“Spain Trip”

This seemed to be primarily a business hotel, and we were on vacation. When vacationing, my wife enjoys a long, bubble bath. The tub's drain didn't work, and when the water came out it was apparent that it hadn't been used frequently. Maintenance did do a good job in fixing the tub. Everything else worked well.

“Great value for money (at the time we went!)”

A comfortable hotel not far from the ''action' of Barcelona although we stayed at the Avenida Palace which was closer to the shopping precinct and preferred that location. The room was fine - in fact, much larger than the Avenida Palace, but not quite as luxurious. For a night's stay, it suited us perfectly.

Area recommendations

Closer to the shopping precinct, closer to the University area along Gran Via Corts Catalanes as it was easier to reach sightseeing attractions such as Sagrada Familia (I walked to this from the Avenida Palace).

“A great place to end or begin a trip”

Great views of the city. My room was facing the national art museum and the olympic complex. plenty of tazi access and close to the tourist bus route.

“Beautiful hotel, good location”

Beautiful modern, high rise hotel near shopping district & Metro station, 20 minutes from airport Multiple restaurants in area as well. The room was very spacious and clean. King bed room had an amazing shower, deep tub and separate toilet area. The hotel allowed us early check after disembarking from a cruise which allowed us extra time to site see.

Area recommendations

The Rambla is a must see when in Barcelona, the hotel was within walking distance, a short cab ride or the metro was across the street.

The Rambla is a must see for all visitors. The view from the cable cars is something to see as well.

“Our best hotel on 3-week trip to Europe!”

What a fabulous hotel! Spacious, clean rooms -- comfortable beds -- wonderful strong shower and separate tub -- terrific location right by the train station and close to the Magic Fountain. It would have been nice to have coffee in the room and unlimited Internet (you only get 15 minutes free per day), but those were minor inconveniences. With those additions and an ice machine in the hall, this would be 5-stars in my book!

We loved the whole city and enjoyed the hop-on, hop-off bus tour. The beach is really nice!

“Even better than expected”

Booked this hotel based on reviews and good price. Was a bit worried about its location, but it turned out fine. A short Metro ride to most places we wanted to go. Hotel service is great. Also loved its large room.

“No cable”

The staff was excellent and very friendly. The hotel was also very clean. Only downfall was that wifi is not available in the rooms and it is not free. The tv is in Spanish and you cannot rent movies. Cable is not available so when you go back to your room to relax their is nothing to watch, very frustrating
