“Comfortable stay in a perfect location”
We stayed in Barcelona for 3 nights and had a really great experience! The owners are very friendly and will go out of their way to help with any queries you might have. The rooms are comfortable, there is a fully equipped kitchen and living room, every room is air-conditioned. There is 2 flat available and since there was 5 of us, we completely rented out the flat at the top floor! needless to say, we were extremely comfortable with a fully equipped flat just to ourselves, which includes washing machine, large terrace, living room, kitchen and two bedrooms and everything right in the middle of Barcelona, 1 minute away from Las Ramblas! The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no elevator (yet) but it was not a problem for us.
“Looks Shady but GREAT location”
When we first arrived to the "hotel' it looked a little shady from the outside. This is more like an apartment being rented out than a hotel - there is no receptionist, no elevator. It's several flights of stairs up and we got our own set of keys for the front door, apartment door and bedroom door with one set of towels and a shared kitchen. However, the place was VERY CENTRALLY located in Barcelona. Just off of Las Rambla, close to some great restaurants, and the metro for sight seeing. If you don't care too much about 'looks' this was a great place to stay.
“Gabriel”
Very polite and helpful. Extremely good value for money. The stairs are a bit of a pain as there are a lot of them. I had seen negative posts on this hotel/guest house, however I think as long as you read the instructions given carefully to know what to expect, and compare price to alternatives you wont be disappointed. Recommend you take the attitude to be polite to the staff and the other guests and you will enjoy your stay - as I did. Breakfast at Flaherty's Irish Bar on square by front door recommended ;-)
“Not a Bed & Breakfast (more appropriately, an apartment). Hot, and extremely noisy. Moldy danish.”
This is NOT a Bed & Breakfast! No one at the front desk. Moldy danish placed in refrigerator as "Breakfast". Extremely noisy location -- cannot sleep most of the night. Outside allies smell like urine, as people are seen to urinate on the walls. Otherwise, fairly convenient location. Would not recommend this "apartment" to anyone.
“Perfect location but...”
This is not a hotel, you just rent a room in an apartment. I reserved a room with balcony (Supposedly an elegant room) for two days, but we had to stay in a room without window on the first day. We moved to other room on the second day, which was nice. The internet connection is terribly slow. They ask you via email to pay either via Western Union or Pay Pal before you arrive, which we did not accept. (Your credit card is used to serve as a guarantee for the reservation by Expedia, right?) But later on, once we arrived, we had to pay cash, which was not nice. Do not expect to get a nice breakfast as it is just a basic one. Keep in mind that there is no elevator in the building.
“Steer clear of this one!”
This place does not live up to its description at all. I would not recommend it to anyone. My reservation was cancelled but no one informed me. The owner was rude and unhelpful. The kitchen was filthy and no towels were provided. It was hot and noisy. The place seemed highly disorganized. Gluten-free is a joke!

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
