Siderian - The simple Siderian restaurant looks out on to Avenida Parallel. Breakfasts are buffet style, while lunch and dinner are sometimes available on a set menu basis, though the restaurant usually only opens when there is a large group staying. Starters include the likes of Prawn Salad and Salted Cod Tortilla, while main courses include more Salted Cod and lamb. The unfussy menu is reflected in the plain and simple decor.

Good Hotel, Nice Location, Not for those seeking excess bells.
“Very central Barcelona budget hotel”
This hotel was so close to the centre I couldn't believe it hadn't been boasted about more! It took ten minutes to walk to La Rambla, staff were friendly, it was clean and tidy and very affordable. Would definitely go back without question! Be warned if your room is at the back-as ours was, you have to walk through a car pack to get to it, but it is private and well-lit.
“Great address at good price”
Stayed in late August. AC worked fine, was surprised by generous space (3 beds) for a single person. Got room at 6th floor (of 7) with a view to Sagrada Familia - aim for higher floors and northern side if you have a choice. Walking distance to Old Town and steps from metro (and funicular to Montjuic), it is a very convenient location for a business traveller with little time for leisure which is just step away.
“Clean and Simple”
Great low cost place to stay. It was clean, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We got complimentary breakfast, and had a huge balcony (both unexpected.) You're not paying for five star luxury, and why go on vacation if you're gonna spend the whole time in your hotel room anyway? This is a great basic place to stay.

“Cultural hotspot”
Went for the football but hotel has theatre opposite and the Apollo Theatre 150 yards away so almost missed match to see Grease or Cabaret!!! Metro station less than 100 yards and Las Ramblas only a five minute walk.Great location, good breakfast and well priced beer!!!!Rooms clean and basic and we had a balcony which was a suntrap to top up tan whilst hangover subsided.Would definately use hotel again as ideal for all touristy bits plus great for social scene.
“fair value, nothing to complain about”
Travelled first 2 weeks in April; We got precisely what we expected; Basic but clean and adequate; Breakfast could be better, continental, cheese, some ham, bread and jam.....kept running out of basics though. Ideal location. very good for one or two night stay.No noise problem ( we were in front room overlooking main road )Would stay again.
“Cheap and Chirpy”
Excellent value hotel for staying in barcelona. If you are looking for a simple room to rest your head after sightseeing this is the place for you. In the middle of Barcelona it's 5 minutes walk from Le Ramblas and is outside a metro stop so you can get to everywhere from here. The room is not luxiourious but this place was significantly chesper than any others I found in the area and breakfast ( typical mediterranean spread) is included in the price.
“second time staying here”
we have just stayed at the Auto Hogar hotel for the second time and found it very good value for money being a 2 star the staff are very helpful and speak english, rooms are clean and tidy and this year we found the breakfasts better because they have got more staff to top up anything food the run out only problem is that it is a noisy road so if you want it quiet use another hotel it wasn`t a problem for us.
