“nice apartment”

nice apartment but no alarm clock (we just used our cell phone) It advertised HD television, but the TV was just HD ready. They do have cable/satellite, but limited English channels, mostly news. Not that you will go to Barcelona to watch TV, but we have a young child so were back early each evening. (MSNBC saved me, the IPAD saved my husband!!) It is within walking distance of where the airport shuttle bus drops off and picks up people.

finding the entrance took a long time as it was a small sign. But inside all was very great. had a very nice stay. Its a great apartment with all amenities. It was clean looked new and very comfortable. The hotel is in a nice location almost on la rambla, but away and shielded from its seedier side. the people at the reception were very friendly and helpful. I had emailed before I started so I did not have the trouble I could have had reaching the place. travel from the airport is very convenient as the Aero bus stops at palaca catalunya, a very short walk from the hotel. But since the reception is staffed only during day time and they also go off for lunch, its good to call and fix beforehand. There is a carrefour on la rambla very near the hotel for essentials and another dept store in the basement of le corte englais. eateries and choc a block and nearby. all the tour buses start at placa catalunya so no problems . the metro is also almost underneath. the only drawback as far as felt was that the HD TV needed a dvd player as well. but I had my laptop and there was free wifi . so we managed.

“Stay in Barcelona”

Hotel service N/A since it is more of an apartment than hotel. Great location for Las Rambles and metro station. Room great especially if you want to prepare meals. Can sleep four but not private for master bedroom. Very satisfied. Security excellent.

“Good apartment and location”

The apartments are situated in a good area close to shops, the subway and tour buses. The apartment building is shared with other business' , but is securely segregated. This is not a hotel, and signage is minimal, so you could easily miss it, so make sure you get dropped off at the door. We arrived by taxi, and gained entry to the building by buzzing the reception, which is upstairs. The reception is not open 24hrs, but the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Fresh towels were available on request, when needed, and bins were emptied most days. Our apartment was on the second floor and was excellent. It was comfortable, clean, and quite large. All kitchen facilities were there inc. dishwasher, microwave, and even a washing machine. The safe was free to use, and could easily hold a 15" laptop. Free wifi is available. The apartment is close to 2 main roads, but we never got disturbed by traffic at night. The TV only had one English speaking channel, a business news one. Would stay here again.

“A great place for a girls' weekend away.”

Amister apartments were very modern, clean and comfortable. We weren't sure how the sleeping arrangements would work out. We asked for 4 single beds as we were a group of friends enjoying a weekend away. It was difficult to get this information. We ended up with one bedroom with 2 single beds and a sofa bed with another pull-out bed in the lounge. Not the most comfortable but acceptable. The apartment was fairly well equipped but only had 2 champagne flutes and no other wine glasses. How does one cope? It was warm and cosy and well insulated against outside noise.

“good experience”

Ariana, the receptionist, was extremely helpful and overly willing to please. As long as you catch them during the hours they are in the office , they are more than willing to assist the traveler as best as they can. The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location; my only issue was that they should have mentioned in the hotel description that the room may not be available until 4 pm, at times. We were on an overnight flight from NY and with no sleep and arriving at 10 am with 3 kids, we were forced to roam the streets exhausted for 6 hours before we could get into the room. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this hotel based on the roominess of the rooms, the cleanliness, the great staff, and the closeness to metro.

“Great location”

The location and the amount of space for the price were great. Unfortunately, while we were there, the elevators were out in the building for the whole week, and there was no water one evening and morning. Not their fault, but they should have done something to compensate their guests. We also had difficulty getting trash removed, and although they say they will change the towels, they don't. Overall, though, a good place to stay.

“Amister Apartments”

The hotel staff kindly arranged for a taxi to the apartment as we were arriving out of ours (8pm). However, when we arrived, although I had asked for the sofa bed to be made up, it had not been. The place was fairly clean although there was dust under the bed. The only other quibble was that the dishwasher was very poor and didn't work well. The staff were helpful and friendly and the apartment was in a great location. However, I was not expecting taxes to be added on to the bill, which was not a very nice surprise.

“Disappointing”

Although this apartment hotel was moderately priced, it did not consist of the two separate rooms promised. Rather, there was a partial room divider between one sleeping area and another, something like a studio apartment. Not ideal for a family with two teens. The Amister Apartment rep was not especially warm or helpful, and never even welcomed us at the beginning of our stay. Wi-fi worked reasonably well, and the kitchen was tiny, but efficient and modern. Bathroom was Euro-style, with towel-warmer. Not a bad choice, location-wise, but you can probably do better.
