“Great hotel”
The Montein Riverside hotel was great and quiet. Even though not centrally located, there was a convenient and complimentary shuttle service to shopping and the downtown area. The complimentary breakfasts were fabulous, a great way to start each day. The guest services people were very helpful, suggesting good shopping areas and local restaurants
“Montien Riverside Bangkok”
I personally have stayed at this hotel many times and have had pleasant and trouble free stays every time. The rooms are clean and the hotel facilities are in good condition and have no hesitation in recommending it for other travellers.

Well, the pool area is most likely the best feature this hotel has, the service and rooms are decent too. Pretty old building, starting to ware a bit and food in the restaurants are unnecessary expensive and frankly quite bad, just walk over the road for a really nice meal for 1/3 of the price. Mini bar prices is stupid, you get a 6 pack beer for less across the road then a single beer from mini bar, same brand. The deep fried chicken in "the Café" is raw and even when I pointed it out, they still tried to charge me for it and that's just rude...
“A bit far from centre.”
I found this hotel a long way which meant you could not go back and drop shopping off, or have a rest and go again! The rooms were not sound proof and heard all the noises from next door, and some very loud English girls woke us every night (early am) as they returned from being out partying!! Not too good when you come in the early hours on a flight. The bed was so hard I had to put the quilt under the sheet! We could not use the safe in the room as they said it is NOT safe! So had to put our valuables down at reception. Atleast the rooms are large and the bathrooms.
