The property served its purpose. I needed a quick place to check in for a few hours and I enjoyed the single room. The front desk clerk was very nice and courteous. I would stay again if necessary. Good for a quick rest with no extra charges.
It's a great little place close to Sukhumvit but yet no sound from the busy road. However, there was a lot of sound at night inside the hotel itself😳. The rooms are not sound proof at all, and everything that is happening in the hotel - late arriving guests, all the noise feels like it's happening right in your room. So if you are a light sleeper you will get no sleep😣. It is really a shame as the place is newly renovated and really clean and nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the location is great! Close to Phrom Pong BTS and the Emporium. Also the stairs are pretty steep but the elevator should be in operation soon.
They are renovating from buying this hotel from a different brand. Very clean and cute decor. Smelled a bit too much like paint but that should go away.
I very much recommend MHC Guesthouse. I originally was going to stay a week. I ended up staying three weeks. I check out tomorrow; but I’ve already made reservations to come back next week. It’s a nice, homey, conveniently located place to stay.
=====My review was more thorough. But Hotels.com cut my review for length.=====
If you are really traveling on a tight budget like I am, MHC Guesthouse is great. No frills budget travelling. I highly recommend it. It ain’t fancy. But it’s in my budget. And dollar for dollar, an excellent value. I’m going scuba diving in Koh Tao in a couple days. But I’ll be back in Bangkok next week. Where will I stay? I will come back to MHC Guesthouse, of course.
It was a okay stay. Ok for 1 day stay. Very basic. Best part of the stay very walkable and close to train station. Staff are friendly and helpful

Worth a return visit
Although Bangkok itself is pretty reasonable Mhc Guesthouse was super value stay.It was very close to the main thoroughfare--- close to BTS, shopping centers, local foods and entertainment. The staff was very helpful! Couple of minor drawbacks were the narrow stairs (no elevator) and somewhat outdated furniture. The shower stall could use some upgrading. Overall, I would certainly stay there again as I visit Bangkok annually and have stayed at various places in the past. Thank you for your kind assistance, Paka.
