“Ok for the price, but could be better.”

Air conditioning units in our rooms are a bit worn out. Only one setting working on speed in our room (high speed which is quite loud when sleeping - Room no. 358). My children's room (No. 357) air-cond unit is not cold enough. It's high time old air-cond units are replaced to ensure rooms are comfortable. My wife need a flatter pillow, but Room Service do not have any. She ended up requesting for 2 towels to make do. It took a while for the towels to be deliverd to our room. Complimentary room bottled water is a bit hard to drink with "earthly" taste. Suggest that the hotel provide just normal bottled water. Breakfast quality was not too great. Range appears decent until you try the food. Not sure if sausages are real meat. We end up eating mostly fresh fruits and pastries for breakfast. Pastries quality are also a bit wanting, with most a bit tough instead of fluffy. Hope the hotel management takes on the feedback as these are achievable changes that can improve guest experience tremendously. Good luck.

Area recommendations

For convenience, a bit closer to Kuta will be good. The walk from the hotel to Kuta town is a bit tiring.

“Kuta not impressed me at all but going around the island to the north is nice.”

There are nice places to visit as Lombook and the north of the Island that is not exploited yet. I did not like Bali in a overall but liked the cultura and old temples and new designs or furniture and hotel.

“Very good for the money”

Staff was very friendly and nice. Their shuttle service was about 40% higher than the regular Blue Bird Taxi service. This Taxi service is recommended by everyone including me. Hotel is not on the water but it is about 5 minutes walk to the beach. You must go for snorkel. Body massage for less than $10.00/hour.

“Not bad,”

Better than expected. I could't get balcony room which I asked. Be careful when you exchange money, always count money twice. Never exchange money, the place which offer you a very higher rates compare with other places. You don't know when they dropped some(20%) of exchange money behind desk. It's like magic.

Area recommendations

Try Nusa Dua area,much better than Kuta, upmarket quiet peaceful and beautiful sand beach,good for family with young kids and a bit old people.

“Nice Quite Hotel with friendly staff”

I thought this hotel was very impressive, the only downside is it's location is a bit far out from Kuta beach however it is close to the airport. The hotel had a quiet feel to it so it is more suited to families and over 25s. The breakfast buffet was great, as was the room and facilities!

“we will go back”

the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to stop and chat the breakfast very nice and there was plenty of choice we liked the lighthouse that is a bar on the roof of the hotel and though it was a little way out of the main area it was good as we were not hassled and it is very close to segara beach and a short stroll to the main area I would give it 4 stars and stay there again

Garuda airlines are a great airline have travelled with most airlines to indonesia and these were the best Poppies restarant lovely setting for a special dinner for 2 and not over priced

“comfortable not flash”

Aston hotel comfortable and good value.Location you need taxi if travelling with children but only $1 to shops and waterbom park.Staff very friendly.Food at breakfast 3/10.Pool good.Would stay again.

I recommend Tuban South Kuta for families as quieter and has shopping,good restaurants and waterbom park,

Bali galleria mall great shopping and cheaper than other shopping centres,Discovery mall also.
